I also believe Trump when he says he’s never read Mein Kampf, despite the claims of his first wife. I strongly doubt Donald Trump has ever read anything in his life that was longer than a few pages.

This pretty much represents how I feel. I despise Trump, but people should have the right to vote for him. I really don’t like this.

If there is ever any evidence that Biden did what you accuse him of in your first paragraph regarding little girls that would end my support for him immediately. But it’s bullsh!t. I don’t believe Biden used the N word in the past either. But he has made some unfortunate racist comments. Now however he is on the right side of that issue.

It doesn’t make me a hack, it makes me right. Not every double standard is automatically a bad thing.

No question that there is a double standard. But I think it’s just and deserved. Black people are allowed, at times, to make jokes that border on racism. White people can’t. Thats not unfair given our history that guys like you are so reluctant to acknowledge or agree to have taught.

A closer parallel is between the Islamists and folks here like @Cdub100, @iam90sbaby and @Casual Observer. In addition I would add that Trump’s racial bigotry and intolerance, and those of his most fervent followers, are much closer to the Islamist model than any advocate of Critical Race Theory.

So many flaws in this question, starting with the “us” and “they” statement. Can you trace your ancestry to prehistoric days? Are you pureblood aryan going all the way back? I just don’t understand how people like you and CDub can think this way. So awful.

The fact that most scientists don’t believe there is any connection between genetics of race and intelligence. Yet racists think there are. I’m hoping that you agree with the scientists and believe this is a matter of culture and not race. But you tell me.

I don’t know the answer to your question. There was a lot of speculation where Covid came from. I don’t know what the consensus was. Maybe they got that wrong I have no idea. Your point seems to be that therefore we should be skeptical of what scientists think in general. I disagree with that but if you feel that way fine, that’s why I asked my question. Please answer it.

He won’t agree that it isn’t. He’ll Just tell you that your facts are wrong. He’s too invested in blaming undocumented immigrants for everything (at least the things he doesn’t blame on blacks).

The difference between culture and genetics is extremely important. Many black Americans, especially those in the inner city, live in a culture where education is not as emphasized. Or they come from single parent , poverty ridden homes. We know that this produces poor results on the whole. But the reasonable person knows that these factors can be changed. That if, for example, you put a poor performing black child in a better environment, with loving parents and a culture that emphasizes education, that child will perform better. The racist however, would not agree. A racist would argue that it doesn’t matter what environment that child is in; because he is black he is genetically inferior to non blacks and therefore incapable of achieving a higher level. if you agree with my second paragraph above then you’re not a racist. If you agree with my third paragraph then you are a racist. Pretty simple.

Your evidence doesn’t prove genetic differences. It MAY prove cultural differences, and It’s not racist to point out cultural differences. It is, IMO, racist to point out genetic differences that don’t exist according to the vast majority of scientists. Do you agree?

So once again, as in so many topics in this forum, we have the facts on one side, and on the other side we have racists, or bigots, or the MAGA crowd, or just plain conservatives telling us we should ignore the facts whenever it contradicts their preheld beliefs. This isn’t any real surprise because their leader Trump tells them to ignore the facts all the time. But it’s nonetheless very depressing.

It’s a maddening topic. You can’t argue with these people. they’re bringing fetanyl in and poisoning our country! Actually they’re not, it’s Americans smuggling fetanyl in, not undocumented immigrants. But the illegals are committing violent crimes like rape and murder! Actually they don’t- every study shows that once they get here they commit LESS violent crimes than American citizens by percentage. But even one violent crime is too many because they’re illegal and shouldn’t be here! True, one crime is too many. But you’re scapegoating a lot of of innocent hard working people who contribute far more to our society than they take out. I don’t care. They’re illegal deport them all! And round and round it goes. We’re farther apart than ever. And at this point we can’t even talk reasonably about this issue.

I get your question. And you may have a point. But I’m not really interested in exploring it because this sort of thing has been used for the last 300 hundred years to discriminate against individual African-Americans- to avoid hiring them for certain roles in society because of the perception that they’re not bright enough. I know that isn’t your intent but that’s where this sort of argument inevitably leads.

I’m sure some agree with me and some don’t. Just as some agree with you and some don’t, that’s because black people like all people are individuals. They can think for themselves. Despite some of the racist claims made to the contrary in this forum.

Pointing out athletic ability among races isn’t racist. Blacks dominate both the NBA and NFL in numbers far greater than their proportion of the overall population. No bigotry in pointing that out, But the claim that whites are smarter than blacks IS racist. Not the same at all. Sad that you think it is.
