Yeah except that this tiny brain is not at all sure this argument is going to work. For one thing, in order to dispute these witnesses about what Trump truly believed, I think he’s going to have to take the stand. And then who knows what will happen?

So it sounds like the key question in this trial is: did Trump really believe the election was stolen? And the prosecution is going to produce all sorts of witnesses, including Mike Pence, to show he did not. Im eager to hear the testimony of those witnesses. But at the moment I’m honestly not convinced of this part of the prosecution’s case. And here’s why: I just read the best book (IMO) about Trump’s Presidency, The Divider. Trust me when I say this book is NOT complimentary to Donald Trump. But the stories it tells have a recurring pattern: Trump wants to do something stupid or illegal. He is told by his associates that it’s stupid or illegal. He agrees but then a few days or weeks later suggests doing it again. This tells me that he is never convinced by people who tell him what he doesn’t want to hear. And if that is the case, it’s going to be difficult to prove that, even if several people told him over and over that the election was lost, and even if he said he believed it, that doesn’t mean he did. But I’m not sure at all. We’ll have to see how this plays out.

Actually, although the Kochs aren’t Jewish, (so far as I know) I still always feel a whiff of anti-semitism whenever I hear liberals attacking them. The theme behind these sort of attacks, whether from right or left, is that there is this small group of wealthy individuals who control events. The Rothschilds, the Kochs, Sheldon Adelson, George Soros, etc. Big banks, big business. Whenever this stuff comes up, Jew hating isn’t far behind IMO.

I think you make some interesting points, particularly about diesel and lithium in Afghanistan (the latter I was, to be honest, completely unaware of and I’d like to learn more about.) Of course per usual these good points are surrounded by some very convoluted, really bizarre arguments. And I think your overall POV is way off but that’s no surprise. My questions were honestly posed and I appreciate the responses even if I disagree. Some of them having given me food for thought, particularly RLLD and yourself. For which I thank you. I have no intention of gaslighting anyone or trying to get anyone banned, even you.

Feed them. House them. Give them papers so that they are no longer illegal. There is no other workable solution to this issue.

1. I do not believe we can lower the price of gas by producing more gas. Inevitably this is the conservative argument, but most experts on this subject disagree with it. The rebuttal by these experts is that if we produce more gas, Saudi Arabia will respond by producing less, so as to keep the price stable or high. I have never heard a good response from conservatives to this rebuttal. 2. But even if it were true that we could lower gas prices by producing more gas, I don’t believe we should, because man made climate change is upon us sooner than we thought, it’s a calamity, and we shouldn’t make it even worse.

Two questions: 1. if the rate of inflation is lower here than it is in Europe and the rest of the world, why should Joe Biden be blamed for the rate of inflation? 2. If the price of gas is lower here than it is in Europe and the rest of the world, why should Joe Biden be blamed for the price of gas?
