All day long I’ve been listening to MSM and all day long they’ve been talking about the gun, and the irony that Joe Biden wrote the law that may send his son to jail. The cover up is only on your addled brain.

I don’t have a tribe. Well I do but it ain’t the Democrats, and certainly not the Bidens. The reason I wrote that somebody screwed up is that Hunter was apparently under the impression that this plea deal would end the investigation of him. Because his lawyers told him so. Which means they got it wrong. Or they got it right, but the prosecutors misled them. Either way somebody screwed up. And I’m not being dismissive. Because this may not go away. Which is why I wrote that Hunter may have to go to jail. If he does it’s because of a stupid mandatory minimum sentencing in a gun law which should never have passed. I don’t believe in mandatory minimums. But it’s great irony that Joe Biden wrote the stupid law. Oh well.

Yesterday Democrats on the committee interviewing Robert F Kennedy Jr. ripped him apart. They were correct to do so- RFK Jr has spread false conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic tropes. He is an awful human being. But then the Democrats went on to call him a disgrace to his family which deserves to be “revered”. Well not in my book. Let’s take a short look at this “legendary”and “noble” family: 1. The grandfather and patriarch, Joe Kennedy, made his fortune working with mobsters during Prohibition. He was a pro-Nazi, anti-Semite, isolationist, easily the worst ambassador in American history. Later he “aided” JFK’s election in 1960 by creating votes out of nowhere. 2. JFK was a misogynist womanizer who cheated to win the presidency. He wasn’t a bad President but most of his greatest accomplishments were forced on him (particularly the civil rights movement.) His approval of the assassination of Diem in Vietnam led directly to the war there. JFK was assassinated himself by a lone crazed idiot (sorry Oliver Stone.) 3. RFK was a buddy and ally of Joe McCarthy who helped Joe put many innocent people in jail. As attorney general he was forced by events to support civil rights (he didn’t want to) and was mistakenly worshipped by many black Americans as a result. He parlayed this and his brothers death to become a liberal icon and became a martyr after he was murdered: 4. Ted Kennedy was a fat drunk who cowardly left his secretary to drown. In decades as a Senate leader he accomplished almost nothing. I haven’t even mentioned the various scandals, some involving murders, of the lesser members of this “legendary” family. RFK, Jr isn’t a “disgrace”; to the contrary he fits right in with the rest of these creeps,

You’re not making any sense. Donald Trump is the first major candidate for President in modern times who refused to release his taxes. He was the first President ever who refused to release his taxes. That’s why he received attention on the subject:

Your statement is false. @dogcows is defending Biden because he honestly believes that Biden has done nothing seriously wrong. I share that belief. If we thought, as you do, that Biden was guilty of serious crimes, we would not defend him. There is no double standard.

In any case, I don’t believe any of this will have a significant effect on the upcoming election. I believe this is true because it’s not substantial. Many will believe it’s true because they think there’s a cover up and that the establishment and mainstream media are complicit. But the conclusion is the same: it won’t matter. Here’s what WILL matter: the economy is booming. Illegal immigration has been significantly reduced in recent months. Biden’s opponent is likely to be Donald Trump, who more than half the nation will NEVER vote for, and who is facing ever more serious legal charges. If all this holds up Biden will win re-election without much difficulty.

Your first sentence is misleading. I found Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony to be believable, but not compelling in a court of law. If Brett Kavanaugh had been on trial I would have voted to acquit him of any charge. But he was not on trial, he was being considered for a higher position, the highest in the land. I would not have voted to confirm him for that position. With regard to Biden, the evidence from the whistleblowers that I have followed so far indicates some murky and questionable behavior, but nothing that rises to a level of illegal or impeachable offense. That’s my judgment.

The main danger to small town America isn’t rampaging violence, it’s fetanyl. It’s opioid addition. Far too many folks try THAT in a small town. This fear of urban violence, which as always borders on racism, is an easy scapegoat and distraction.

Of course it’s better when we are on the side of the good guys- I generally believe we are in this situation. But it’s naive to think that’s our primary motivation.
