1. I do not believe we can lower the price of gas by producing more gas. Inevitably this is the conservative argument, but most experts on this subject disagree with it. The rebuttal by these experts is that if we produce more gas, Saudi Arabia will respond by producing less, so as to keep the price stable or high. I have never heard a good response from conservatives to this rebuttal.
2. But even if it were true that we could lower gas prices by producing more gas, I don’t believe we should, because man made climate change is upon us sooner than we thought, it’s a calamity, and we shouldn’t make it even worse.
