None of those things was Trump’s idea. His idea was Alligator Alcatraz. Obama was awful on this issue. Biden was nearly as bad as Obama. Trump is ten times worse than either.

That was a serious comment. As always, my defense is: it’s true.

So I’ve read about this incident. IF the ICE agents are telling the truth, then this shooting was perfectly justified, and I have no problem with it. But unfortunately in this year of 2025 ICE has a reputation for not telling the truth on several occasions, most notably in the Kilmer Abrego Garcia case. That doesn’t mean that they’re lying this time. But on the other hand it wouldn’t surprise me if they are. I will await more confirmation. Again, if it’s true then nobody should object to this.

It was false. My information was incorrect. There was a stabbing, and the larger point I was trying to make was that the stabbing back east had received so much attention from MAGA because it was a white woman being attacked by a minority, which plays heavily into stereotyped racial fears. And that Trump has always tried to take advantage of these fears. I still believe that to be a valid argument.

Why can’t those of us that want to have a serious discussion anyhow?

So you think a moderator is going to force those people to have a serious discussion with me? If people don’t want to have a serious discussion I can’t make them.

Yeah we’ve always disagreed about that. the only time I reported anyone in this forum is when they dug up personal crap about me and posted it- and even that is mostly my own fault for leaving it out there. I regret reporting people in the other forum. It’s weak and whiny. I condemn people here who are bigots but if they want to be, who the Fock cares? So they post vile stuff, so what? Why do you give a sh!t?

I have no idea if he lost money or not. I’m skeptical. What he should have done instead, IMO is remove all moderators and posted a warning: “The Political Forum is a free and open discussion and not moderated. If you’re easily offended, enter at your own risk.” Simple. Then there would have no need for all the work he had to do. Despite my feelings about many of the people here who waste their time insulting me and each other, the lack of moderators here is a big plus.

That is my opinion. I firmly believe that (a) Trump is a racist. (b) Most MAGA (by MAGA I mean fervent Trump supporters) are accepting of Trump’s racism. They don’t think it IS racism. There’s no lying involved.

Agreed and unfortunately this has become a pattern. I want to discuss an issue (like this one, political violence.) People disagree with me, which is fine. We have a good argument or discussion. Then the same few posters derail it with “Oh yeah? Well you’re a jerk and a liar because 10 years ago you posted THIS!” It happens every time. Sometimes I defend myself, especially if there is somebody involved whom I respect and don’t want them to think ill of me. Most times I just ignore it. That’s usually the better option.

I WILL say this: most Trump supporters in this forum are whiny b!tches. Not all. But certainly majority.

Right. I never wrote that all MAGA were racist, I wrote that all Trump voters were racist. Sure thing. Of course I did. I can’t disprove it now because all of those posts from 2016 are gone. But I’d like to point out that @Horseman and a few others spent MONTHS here reposting everything bad I’ve ever written, to try and show what a terrible guy I was. And, in truth they posted some stuff that I regret now. Don’t you think that if I had called all Trump voters racist he would have posted it? Thats pretty much as bad as it gets.

Dude I didn’t. Last time. My best friend in the whole world voted for Trump. I have loved ones, close ones who voted for Trump. They’re not racist. I don’t think you’re a racist. I have posted many many times that I don’t believe most Trump voters are racist. I don’t even believe most MAGA are racist. Some of them are. To your larger point: I don’t lie, I don’t troll. Sometimes I tell jokes that I feel are pretty obvious. Sometimes I forget something I wrote and I’ve been forced to apologize for that. Sometimes I write stupid stuff on the spur of the moment and I’ve had to apologize for THAT. It happens. But this one I did not do because it goes against the core of what I believe (not to blame whole groups of people for the actions of a few). If you can’t or won’t accept that, then we’re at an impasse.

One of the differences between us is that you’re extremely hostile to those who disagree with you politically. You have the need, it seems, to believe they’re bad people. I think this is insecurity on your part. I think you’re a troll a lot of the time and your persona in this forum is one of a jerk. I have no idea if you’re an awful person in real life. Probably not based on the fact that most people aren’t bad people. I don’t feel any hostility towards you- takes too much energy. If you want to believe I’m a POS that’s your prerogative. I’ll continue speaking my mind because that’s my prerogative. Anytime you want to discuss issues with me and not waste time with this crap, you’re still welcome to do so. But I no longer care if you do or don’t.

I have. When you’ve said racist things or justified racist acts. But I’ve come to believe that in most cases you’re trolling.

I can see that you and so many others here are absolutely convinced that this is the truth. (And President Trump agrees with you as well, based on his statements this morning.) I don’t think it’s the truth that liberals are more guilty , or that liberals started it. But I’m not going to try and convince you because I have already and it’s been pointless. What I will do instead is bring to your attention that there are many many liberals who believe that when it comes to political violence and hateful rhetoric towards the other side, conservatives are more guilty and conservatives started it and liberals are only reacting. And FWIW I think they’re wrong too. This whole argument over who started it and who is more guilty is rather exhausting. Unless we move on from this it’s going to get worse.

I’m sorry, I think you must have misunderstood me. I don’t call whole groups of people racist. Individuals yes, groups no. I don’t believe you’re a racist. Sorry you think I’m lying about this but I am not.
