No I’m pointing out the absurdity of the argument that greater armed force leads to less crime. Of course it does. It also leads to more authoritarianism, less individual liberty. Generally the price is too high. I do not equate the National Guard to the Gestapo. I DO however equate ICE, under Trump, to the Gestapo. Bush was re-elected in 2004 was opposition to gay marriage, but ten years later attitudes have changed. The key to questions regarding cultural political questions is not what the public at large thinks today, but what those under 30 think. And every poll and study suggests they are far more accepting of what the experts tell us.
