Yes I made that comment years ago based on bad information, for which I apologized for and you continue to bring it up nearly every time you lose an argument with me which is quite often. I will let others be the judge of its relevancy in this current discussion.

I was talking to my daughters the other day about Starbucks announcing all of the store closures. They tell me that all of their friends (under 30) drink coffee and tea as much as ever but none of them like Starbucks. They all prefer local coffeehouses and a couple smaller chains like Philz and Dutch Bros. Starbucks to them is for old people like me. I wasn’t aware of this and found it interesting, if anecdotal.

No surprise you would want to defend him. If you want me to mention his caveats that’s fine. On one occasion he wrote that he didn’t want to see anyone raped or murdered by “illegals” but if it was going to happen anyhow he wished it happened to my daughters. On another occasion, referring to a rape and murder that had already occurred, he expressed the wish that it had been my daughter rather than somebody else’s. I don’t think these distinctions are important or in any way a justification of what he wrote. I don’t think they change the accuracy of my accusation. Perhaps you do but that’s on you. I don’t really care.

If I wanted to. I don’t. I’m not going to go through all your posts here to dig it up. I’m not obsessed with you enough to do it; I’m not that guy. Those that have read you long enough remember what you wrote.

Several times you stated that you hoped my daughters were raped and murdered by undocumented aliens. I’m not the only one here you’ve wished this on. I’ve never reciprocated and I won’t. Whatever I think of your political views (not much) I certainly hope you and your family stay healthy and safe. I’ll leave it up to others reading this to decide who the POS is in this exchange.

They did? Not familiar with that. In any event my comments were about Biden and Trump so I don’t see the relevancy one way or another.

This is an interesting follow up post. Your last post was completely incorrect about the Senate. @Ron_Artest then corrected you. Rather than thank him for that or even acknowledging you were wrong, you revert to calling him names. Interesting.

Glad to have Jon back but he seems as unhinged and angry as ever. Was January 6 a serious threat to our democracy? Probably not. But it was awful and disgusting and it should have spelled the end of Trump and MAGA. The fact that it didn’t has always been more troubling to me than the event itself. The attempt to rewrite Jan 6, to pretend that the FBI somehow instigated it, is too laughable to consider seriously.

You’ll have to correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe Joe Biden ever pardoned anyone accused or investigated for political acts of violence. Only Donald Trump has. Is this correct?

I really reject this. I truly believe that most politicians on either side are patriots who want what is best for the country. There are plenty of bad apples but they’ve always been in the minority.

Perhaps you weren’t paying close attention to Trump’s campaign. He would have said virtually anything to energize his base.

I’ve actually never believed Jon was a MAGA. He is a somewhat libertarian (he rejects the internationalist aspects of libertarianism) who unfortunately believes in very extreme right wing crackpot conspiracy theories. Even so, good to have you back Jon.

No. Initially I thought the public would blame the Democrats (and I’m still surprised that they don’t.) But that’s because (a) whichever side makes a demand in shutdown situations is usually blamed and (b) Republicans are better at messaging. That’s why I urged the Dems not to do this. But that doesn’t mean I thought they were in the wrong. I didn’t and still don’t.
