This is a distraction. It’s meant to make people forget Epstein and the failing economy.

I didn’t serve. But I will always be grateful to those who do. Not just the military, but police, fire, first responders: these folks put themselves at risk for the rest of us. But ICE, under Trump’s leadership, is a disgrace to anyone who has served this country. They are dishonoring us, and behaving shamefully. This will be a stain on our history.

I think they will. Maybe by a lot. I don’t think people fully realize how awful things are likely to be a year from now. The combination of the tarrifs, the deportation fears, and the Big Beautiful Bill are going to be terrible for the economy.

Also @jerryskids - any argument you have with @Cdub100 serves as a straw man for you and I think you know it: cdub’s hatred of Jews is so unbending, so irrational, that it rivals Hamas. It makes your own position appear to be the correct one by default.

Three problems with the article @jerryskids first, as usual, it spends the majority of its time describing how awful and evil Hamas is. We get that. Nobody is saying that Hamas are the good guys. But Hamas being the bad guys doesn’t automatically make Israel good guys, which is always your implication. Second, the writer argues that Israel is the good guy because their goal is to “have peace with their neighbors.” But that is NOT their goal or at least not their only goal. Netanyahu’s party has stated time and again that they want to increase settlers in Gaza and the West Bank and eventually occupy all of this as the Bible demands. Only yesterday you defended this position claiming that the ancient state of Judea gives Israel legal right to this land. Now you claim to agree with this article 100% and that is a contradiction. Israel can’t both only want peace with its neighbors and to occupy Gaza and the West Bank. Finally, let’s suppose that the writer is correct and that Israel is the good guy in this affair- as I’ve stated many times I actually believe Israel is a good guy overall- though not necessarily here- but assuming they are, why does this absolve them from all bad acts? The author compared Israel to the North in the Civil War- not an analogy I would use but let’s run with it- are we now saying that because the North had the noble goal of freeing the slaves (only halfway through the war and only in Confederate states) that the North did nothing wrong in that war? Committed no bad acts? Because anyone who has studied that war knows it’s nonsense. Good guys should be held to a higher standard than bad guys because they’re good guys. Don’t you agree?

Just to be clear: nobody loves the Democratic Party. They’re the same bunch of incompetent fock ups they were last year, and that’s only the majority. A growing minority are leftist ideologues with economic ideas that simply won’t work. They’re going to win big next year by default because Trump has been so terrible. Exactly how terrible the public is only starting to realize.

I don’t believe the MS-13 part. ICE has consistently lied; why would anyone take their word, or DHS? This sort of raid has become incredibly unpopular with the public.

He’s done that several times to me too. If I get a word wrong (usually meaningless) he calls me a liar. How many times has he boasted “I deal in facts, not opinions”. There are worse posters here but none is as full of crap as he is. (Actually I probably shouldn’t say that- he certainly has some rivals in that department.)

Verifiable by who? For example show us where Fauci said he made up the 6 foot rule. Here’s what he said, exactly: “It sort of just appeared. I don’t recall, like, a discussion of whether it should be 5 (feet) or 6 (feet) or whatever.” He later said the decision was empiric, based on experience and observation rather than data. He NEVER said he made it up. You’re lying. Why not just admit it? Your “facts” are actually your opinions (and false ones).

Because you and others believe nonsense that was fed to you by paranoid conspiracy driven conservative media who have made a lot of money over the years by spreading this crap to you, @TheNewGirl and other dupes like you. I already addressed this. That’s what Biden believed; he wasn’t lying. Anyhow why does it matter? Your life was likely saved because you took the vaccine. Millions were. if you hadn’t taken the shots, your covid might have been fatal.

Sure. But it’s never been as blatant or heavy handed as this.

It’s worse than that. He never offers any evidence that the other side is committing the act. When challenged about that he does what he did here: laughs it off and says something like “we all know what they did”, puts “independent” in quotes, etc. His whataboutisms are never actually backed by facts.

I used to think Strike was one of the smart ones around here. Or at least had integrity. I was so wrong. He has proven to be a moron and a troll.
