  1. Yes but I won’t waste my time. I’ve posted numerous articles on this subject. Go back and read them. Or go to the website for the CATO institute; they’re excellent on this topic.
  2. Do you think the Tea Party movement in 2009 was a waste of time?

    They’re all gone.
  4. I already did. In that group of Venezuelans there are apparently several who aren’t members of any gang. They haven’t been given the opportunity to prove this in a court of law yet. And your boss is trying to avoid giving them one. Why is that?

Well yeah. Can’t be helped because Republicans are all cowards.
  6. The Smiths are awful. Not because they’re bad musicians or their songs are bad- it’s because I can’t get past the lead singer’s whiny delivery. Like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

There is something that can be done. If it continues then we the people need to vote in large Democratic majorities in the next election, impeach and remove Trump, impeach and remove JD Vance, and install Hakeem Jeffries as President.

That stat is of cases appealed so I have no idea what you’re going on about.
  9. I don’t believe in severely limiting immigration. If you do then I want you defeated.
  10. But even so Korematsu was a terrible decision. I don’t think it would get done today. The internment of Japanese-Americans was mostly done by liberals and Democrats: liberal members of the Supreme Court, FDR, Earl Warren. Many conservatives were opposed, including Herbert Hoover, J Edgar Hoover, Thomas Dewey, etc. The ACLU, supported mostly by conservatives back then, fought the good fight and lost. This is a cautionary tale. Authoritarianism is not ideological. Liberals are just as prone to it as conservatives, perhaps more so since liberals tend to favor larger government.

About 7% of all rulings get reversed on appeal. In terms of the Supreme Court, it’s less than 2%. So no judges aren’t always right. But they’re USUALLY right. And when Trump gets slapped down on over a dozen times in a single month, that’s how you know he’s an unlawful clown. And that’s how we know in this forum that YOU are a clown for continually supporting his moves.
  13. Nope things change. Laws need to be modified. But the core principles remain the same. We are a nation of immigrants, the shining city on the hill, the refuge of the hungry, the tired, the poor. If we ever lose that then we lose our national identity.

“judge slaps down Trump” Seems to be a pattern. Will Trump’s supporters ever realize what a corrupt law breaking clown he is?
  16. That’s because you want to exclude whole groups of people from coming to this country, and you don’t want to admit that such an attitude is inherently bigoted. So you need to dismiss any arguments to the contrary. I get it. But you’re wrong, Mark is wrong, anyone who holds this bigoted view is wrong, Since I don’t think you guys are really bigots, I’m confident that someday you’ll realize the flaws in your thinking. In the meantime the ACLU will keep slapping down your boss.
  17. You can’t break the law trying to deport this guy. He gets due process. The ends don’t justify the means. Sorry buddy.
  18. Lol. I’m fine dude. And I stand by my logic. Read it again.
  19. He’s certainly not dumb. I think he’s lying to himself. Like so many other conservatives he’s become invested in winning an overall struggle for our culture so he’s willing to overlook Trump breaking the rules.
  20. Trump’s attempt to bypass due process to deport Venezuelans is similar to this effort - in both cases he is trying to go around the law and his supporters seem to be good with it. This is why I support the ACLU so that Trump will get slapped down in these attempts.
  21. They don’t count if you’re trying to make a broader point. They count if you’re trying to disprove a broader point. Do you see the difference? I was making an argument against the idea that we should exclude all Palestinians from emigrating to this country. It’s amazing to me that I should even have to refute such a notion, but in order to do so all I need to do is bring up an anecdote. If on the other hand I was trying to prove that all or most Palestinian immigrants to the USA are good people, one anecdote would not suffice.
  22. You guys can keep trying to twist this in order to maintain your delusions but it won’t fly. Nobody has a problem with deporting violent gang members WITH DuE PROCESS. He’s trying to deport people without due process. That won’t fly. He tried it and got slapped down.
  23. Yeah I donate hundreds of dollars each year in order to save around $10 each year (maybe). You’ve figured me out!
