I live in New England, though I am a Niners fan, and have seen all of the Pats preseason games. Thompkins is not particularly big or fast. He has above average hands, has made some good catches. What has caught the eye of everyone up here is the route running ability. He is VERY good at running routes, has been setting up the DB's with minor shoulder shakes and misdirection. Third game of the preseason I saw him gain 3 yards of space from a simple shoulder shrug that he took advantage of on an out cut for an easy completion. Brady hasn't had a route runner like this. Brady digs cerebral players, he is digging Kenbrell right now. The running backs in New England are going to be the bell cow this weekend, but Thompkins will get his. I'm predicting epic breakout this year for him. All in on Thompkins! I was only able to get him in one of my two leagues, and I'm starting him over Mike Wallace... And feel great about it.

Got involved in a paid league held by one of my good friends buddy. It a whole group of people I am not acquainted with. They are all Patriots fans, so I picked up a couple patriot player fliers of the FA pool a couple of weeks a ago (we had our draft first week of preseason). I was hoping that after the preseason, one of the players I picked up would play well enough for someone to fall in love with them, can flip em for something I actually need. Well, I have Sudfeld. I found a guy who has bad TE's, sold him on a trade for Eric Decker (decker had a bad night, I don't think that will last). He accepted it, even got a confirmation email. Some up this morning to find that the trade had been vetoed. Thing is... The owner that accepted the trade is the commissioner! Is this not an abuse. I obviously started positing objections via the message site, but have received no explanation yet. I'm guessing after accepting the trade he saw that he was number 2 on the waiver wire and could pick up Julius Thomas for nothing. What would you do? I paid money for this league!

Thanks montana. I did sort of call BS on the message board, I contacted a couple guys in the league who said they didn't call to vote to veto it. So it was his own decision, it seemed like a fair deal to everyone else. I have kept it PG... Ok... Maybe PG-13... Decker never made it to the roster because it would not be able to be finalized till the 11th. For point totaling purposes. It is listed on the transaction screen as a vetoed trade. So it exists and everyone can see it. I'm the outsider of the group of friends here, so I don't think the rest of them are going to rage against the machine. They probably don't want to anger their actu friend. I haven't decided yet, but I'm either going to let bygones be bygones (unless something else happens), or ask for my money back, and I'll play out the season with integrity, recusing myself from any reward money.

I don't like the deal. Can you take Sudfeld and Tate out of the equation and get a starting caliber RB? If you can get an RB2 type production, and Thompkins, I would do that for Cobb. I'm all in on Thompkins. I think he's gonna do great. But I think you can squeeze more juice out of Cobbs name and potential.

You know what... I'm changing my answer. I just decided I'm buying in on Kenbrell Thomkins. Bills stink, pats TE corp isn't healthy or ready for the spotlight, and I think TB12 is gonna use this opportunity to get into a groove with his new favorite weapon. Thompkins runs CRISP routes. Brady digs that stuff. Pats will run the ball a lot and throw to the outside receiver. I just read you are in a ppr situation. I think Thompkins moves the chains 6-10 times during this game, and a touch.

Nope... Lol They are all playing good defenses. Go with the one with the best offense. That's the Bengals. They should have the most scoring opportunities and red zone chances. I don't know how they are splitting up the carries in cincy... But come game day, if there are reports that Gio is gonna get the rock, and Benny is out of the rotation... I would then go with Mikey Mike Williams.

In general I believe cuse9 has got his rationale down pretty good. If not Boldin, go with Vereen. I think his overall usage rate will be more than Boldin. Also... Don't mean to go on too long here, but I've watched and read an inordinate amount about the 49ers this year. I'm fascinated by that team. It looks to me that this Quinton Patton kid could break out some time early in the season. Boldin is there to give them stats and presence the the post season. Hasn't had great regular season numbers in a while. I already rostered Patton, hoping to cash in on him later this year.

24/7- pats have a tendency to try schemes that people don't think they will do. They are viewed as a TE heavy offense. TE is not a strength right now, so I believe they will run run run. When they throw it will be to their young WR's. building chemistry early in season against bad teams.
