Yes I did. For a while in the 80s, a local record store (that also sold exotic pipes for tobacco use only LOL) rented new LPs. I'm guessing it cost a dollar. I'd take them home and record them on a TDK or Maxell cassette. By the mid to late 90s, I was a Napster/LimeWire etc user.
