How do you say congrats on winning the world series in LA?

Pretty sure it's officially been renamed 'alternative shopping' in California. Anyone referring to it as looting is committing a hate crime. -
That is genuinely funny. Delusional, but funny. Wiping their feces on their children's walls put it over the top.

Not a bad idea. A couple cases of Spam & some gold bars as well.

Microsoft and Meta (a.k.a. Facebook) 416.41 -16.12 (-3.73%) After hours: 07:59PM EDT 573.40 -18.40 (-3.11%) After hours: 07:59PM EDT I don't own either of those directly, but I do own just under 400 shares of Eli Lilly. The good news, my cost basis is around $37.00, the bad news, it was down $57 today. A $22,800 haircut in my taxable account.

Billionaire activist George Soros has reportedly been approved to purchase Audacy, the second-largest chain of radio stations in the U.S, owning 220 American radio stations in 40 markets and reaching 165 million listeners monthly. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC)—the U.S. agency responsible for regulating communications via radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable—last week approved the purchase with the 3 Democrats on the commission outvoting the 2 Republicans. Key points about FCC commissioners: Appointment process: The President nominates the commissioners, and the Senate confirms them. Number of commissioners: 5 commissioners make up the FCC Term length: Each commissioner serves a five-year term. Political balance: No more than 3 commissioners can belong to the same political party. In a case such as this, it seems like the 5 commissioners would put their political differences aside, & do what's best for the country. Even for the 3 Democrats, it should be an easy decision. Strike down any deal that is almost certain to involve censorship @ some point, even though it would be beneficial to them. I suppose that pretty much personifies what's wrong with the country. Politicians care more about the party, than the country. We're focked

Something you will never buy because of it's price. On principle alone.

Gasoline is dirt cheap. It was $1.25 a gallon in 1980. Take today's price and adjust it for inflation. It's actually down. Then compare it to prices of certain other things in 1980. Rent, homes, one year higher ed tuition, healthcare insurance, a loaf of bread, a pound of burger, new windows, new siding, a hot water heater, furnace/AC, etc We have a lot of things to complain about in America, the price of gasoline isn't one of them. -

One thing that continues to go up is gold. I don't own any, but what impresses me most about it, is how many people talk it down and say things like "I don't understand the attraction to a shiny metal" including many powerful people around the world, yet it continues to rise. God yes. What some people will pay for designer water like Fiji is insane. Dog treats. Amazing that people will pay $50 (or more) a pound for dog treats because they allegedly contain lamb. These are the people you hear about in stories stating a substantial percentage of Americans couldn't afford an unexpected $600 auto repair bill. -
Trade: Diontae Johnson Headed to the Ravens
easilyscan replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Agree that it's a good move for DJ & the Ravens in real football, not so much for FF purposes. Downgrade all the raven receivers/tight ends. Dilution. For FF, I think Xavier Legette will be the biggest beneficiary, especially if Dalton returns. -

JD Vance says there is a big problem with Black Rock
easilyscan replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
Yes, Laurence D. Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, is a social activist who advocates for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies: Climate change Fink has been a vocal advocate for addressing climate change, writing in 2020 that "climate risk is investment risk". He has also said that BlackRock will vote against companies that aren't moving quickly enough to transition to renewable energy. Corporate responsibility Fink has said that companies should contribute to society in addition to making profits. He has also called for companies to take a leadership role in addressing social and political issues when governments fail to do so. Diversity Fink has called for corporations to increase the diversity of their workforces. However, Fink has faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. Some Republicans have attacked ESG as a way for the corporate world to implement a liberal agenda. Others have criticized Fink for engaging in "identity politics and virtue signaling". Fock Fink, & fock blackrock FYI: Felt the same way about him and his company long before I ever heard of JD Vance -
Executed a buy/write today. Bought 300 shares OKLO @ $23.73, then sold 3 December 22, 2024 $24.00 call options at $4.87 a share. To be honest, I have a bad feeling about this one. I didn't do the research I normally do before buying. This is a stock in the the nuclear industry, and it's gone from $8.00, to today's price in 1 month. Hopefully they keep pumping it up enough to where my shares get called away at $24

Trump stock soaring today. (I have no position) The bias depending on the site that released the story is so obvious. Yahoo says........DJT stock skyrockets following Donald Trump's inflammatory MSG rally as election looms. Market watch says...........‘DJT’ stock climbs again after Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/djt-stock-climbs-again-after-trumps-madison-square-garden-rally-d8e1902a

People like that guy should have stayed where they belong. The sideshow at a circus. That being said, even though I agree with him 100% on most issues, Ben Shapiro just looks genuinely evil to me. I could never trust him.
