    Bye Week Quandry

I suppose he's not available, otherwise you would've mentioned him, but is the Washington kicker available ? He's tied with Aubrey on total pts in one less game. Just realized Seibert kicked 7 field goals week 2 against the giants, & only had a total of 7 in the next 4 games. Sad to think that there was a time not long ago, when South American gang problems were limited to South America. Our nation is ending badly. The death blow will be the day the US (AKA Taxpayers) get a margin call on 'our' debt. 100+ trillion once you add current and future unfunded liabilities for SS and Medicare.

    Stat corrections

I was in the FF playoffs in 2009. My opponent had Kurt Warner as his QB. Week 15 stat change Postby Steelersfan ยป Wed Dec 23, 2009 4:06 pm Anquan Boldin's five-yard touchdown at the end of Arizona's game from Sunday, originally scored as a reception from Kurt Warner, has been changed by the Elias Sports Bureau to a rushing score, according to ESPN.com. Our View: You have to wonder whether the head of the Elias Sports Bureau lost a close fantasy matchup to a Warner owner. All jokes aside, this news is sure to make for some very irate owners, as the change, and loss of points for Warner, could very well alter a number of matchups that were thought to be final as of Monday night. To the owners who will end up losing out on a trip to their fantasy championship because of this, our best advice is not to dwell too much of the "what ifs" and to think of all the other things in your life you have to be thankful for. Fanball I would have lost by a couple points had they not made the stat change.

Bad News 4 Shaheed & Olave Owners

Same in my league. It counts the same as if he had caught a 53 yard TD, or ran for a 53 yard TD. Thank God for that, because I think all he had other than that, was one catch for 11 yards and maybe one run. A correction from my earlier post on this thread. I started a league in 2006. Here's the long and boring story behind that. After 2 years of pushing, my work mates finally convinced me to play fantasy football in 2005. I drew the first pick. I knew 'real football' well as I've been a fan my entire life, but I didn't do enough research regarding fantasy football. I picked Peyton Manning #1 because he had thrown 50 touchdowns the previous year & also picked 2 other top 3 quarterbacks including Tom Brady, thinking I could trade them later. I'm lucky my friends didn't take me out behind the woodshed and kick my arse because I'm sure I screwed up many a draft because of that. The only other player I remember drafting is Clinton Portis. I learned to work the waiver wire & somehow managed to finish 3rd. During the year, because I was desperate to fill other positions that were lacking because of all the QBs I picked, I was frustrated that some of the return specialists of the time (who were available on the waiver wire) wouldn't do me any good because the league didn't give points for return yards. During the off-season, I asked the commissioner if he'd consider changing the settings. The answer was no, so in 2006, I started another league. Let's just say that the commissioner of the original league, wasn't very popular at work, so I had no problem filling mine. I still make mistakes every week but in 2007, I won both leagues. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that felt very satisfying The golden age for return specialists went away to a certain degree in 2011, when the NFL moved the kick off up from the 30 to the 35, in an attempt to increase the number of touchbacks & lessen the number of injuries. Here's a list of return specialists that played during this time & total return yards for their career. Player Return YDS Josh Cribbs 13,488 2005-2014 Darren Sproles 11,313 2005-2019 Devin Hester 11,028 2006-2016 Ted Ginn Jr. 9,523 2007-2020 Leon Washington 9,346 2006-2014 Cordarrelle Patterson 7,998 2013-2024 Jacoby Jones 7,628 2007-2015 Wes Welker 6,722 2004-2015 Danny Amendola 5,450 2009-2021 Derrick Mason 5,086 1997-2011 Antwaan Randle El 4,316 2002-2010 Tyler Lockett 4,266 2015-2024 Percy Harvin 4,127 2009-2016 Steve Smith Sr. 4,055 2001-2016 Ray-Ray McCloud 3,887 2018-2024 Antonio Brown 2,934 2010-2021 Devin Duvernay 2,878 2020-2024 Randall Cobb 2,829 2011-2023

I set it up that way when I started the league in 2006. Of course that doesn't count on the defensive side. If a cornerback picks up a fumble and runs it back for a touchdown, it goes to the defense, not the individual.
