I'm over 59 1/2. When you say that most 401(k)s allow for withdrawals after age 55 with no penalty, I assume you're referring to SEPP 72t method ? You'll do fine with Fidelity. I have a large taxable account, an existing IRA, an HSA, & just initiated a rollover IRA & am in the process of rolling my Vanguard 401(k) there. I made one small mistake after retirement. Tried to make a contribution to the existing IRA. Forgot that once you're retired and have no earned income, you can no longer make contributions to a tax deferred retirement accounts. No big deal. One extra line on my tax return & a fine of about $15

Relax. I'm sure All 26K will turn their lives around here in the US & turn out to be fine upstanding taxpaying citizens. But seriously, all we can hope for is that karma comes into play, & a disproportionate % of those they rape & murder are progressives and/or someone they care about.

For what it's worth, I've never logged into any of my financial related sites (small local bank (checking account) Fidelity (taxable brokerage account, HSA, IRA) Vanguard 401(k) or any of my credit cards via phone. Only do that via my iMac desktop. Once I receive the security code, I delete the text. I think those codes are only good for a very brief period of time anyway.

Tornadoes are the same way, only on a smaller scale. An F-3 went through a town about 10 miles north of me in March 1998. A guy who lived in a subdivision had the best footage of the tornado approaching. Filmed until the outside of the tornado was about 150 yards away. His house only sustained broken windows and some missing shingles. The closest house to him was about 25 yards to the east. There was nothing left but the foundation.
