  1. Definitely. I was hinting @ that when I said he's the type of person that you'd try to avoid on the street.
  2. I have a gut feeling he's far worse than that. A deeply disturbed individual. The type of person that if you saw them walking towards you on a sidewalk, you'd cross the street to get on the other side. Possibly sexually abused as well. Most likely by a Catholic, which might explain his hatred for them. End of profiling.

I love Bill Maher (half the time)

He's super duper nailed it @ 3:32. A couple years ago, some guy was bragging about how he could open his garage door via his iPhone. Apparently, this is a huge improvement over the way myself and others do it. Pull into the driveway, extend right arm up & to the right, & push the garage door opener button. Only if you let them. This season, Minnesota twins broadcasts are moving to a subscription service. They won't get a squirt of !@#$ from me. The twins, along with the Vikings & the wild, are also going to be seeking help from the Legislature (taxpayers) either this year, or in the near future. https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-pro-sports-teams-facing-vast-stadium-ballpark-and-arena-needs/601218820

Does anybody still play Fantasy Football?

This + the fact that when I started in 2005, skill, or should I say the willingness to put in the work of noticing non-drafted players who were coming on 'before' most other teams noticed, gave you an edge. Now, we literally have thousands of websites identifying those trends on a weekly/daily basis. A definite advantage for more passive FF managers.
  7. If there were any doubters left, this should convince them. Last year a Democrat passed a bill making it illegal to eat beaver, this year another Democrat is trying to reverse the ban. https://www.fox9.com/news/mn-senator-wants-make-legal-eat-beavers?fbclid=IwY2xjawIR2AxleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHfOc_a91hmz_i2Bl2pwDtgU0IWrhFBs6RSJGWtDwstSyxotPt1dMhlo7aw_aem_SMAbqxJqmKUnDujNYd-8cQ

Any Ebay Sellers Here Or In The Past?

Anyone looking to get rid of stuff on eBay should consider this. For the 2024 tax year, the IRS is using a $5,000 threshold, regardless of the number of transactions. The threshold will drop to $2,500, regardless of the number of transactions, for the 2025 tax year. Starting in 2026, the $600 threshold will apply. https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/self-employment-taxes/a-guide-to-irs-form-1099-k-for-ebay-sellers/c3v3tCIwl

    Eating Beaver: Minnesota Is Retarded

If I had to speculate, I'd go with that scenario.

That one hurts me to this day. Our defense was incredible that year. Chris Doleman, Keith Millard, Henry Thomas, etc Went to New Orleans & destroyed the Saints. Next up was a visit to candlestick park where we dismantled Joe Montana/Jerry Rice & Company. And then this. We held the Redskins to 17 points. A couple weeks later in the Super Bowl, they put up 35 points on the Broncos in the 2nd quarter alone.

I agree. Although the last one was way back in 1991, at least the Twins gave us a couple World Series wins.

Officially, It's The DFL Party: Democratic-Farmer-Labor A ray of hope is that a slowly increasing percentage of the populace is referring to it as the DUMB FOR LIFE party.

You forgot Al Franken & Jesse Ventura. Honorable mention to Phyllis Lorberblatt Kahn, who thought children should be able to vote at age 12. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1989/02/03/Lawmaker-proposes-to-let-12-year-olds-vote/5072602485200/

Going all dividend route in my Roth

For me, it works best on mature, low volatility companies. I wait for a day that the stock does well, let's say up 5%. Since option buyers are confident on days like that, they're willing to pay more substantial premiums. I usually sell them far enough out of the money, that barring a huge move up in the share price, the option will expire worthless. But that's just me. If you asked 10 different people that sell covered calls, about the specifics of the strategy they use, you might get 10 different answers. I'm off to bed now, so if you have any follow-up questions, expect a long wait. Regards

    What is your net worth?

I've always had an interest in the stock market. In 1993 I opened a brokerage account in a small local bank. Pretty sure I started with 15K. Five years later, in 1997, I was fed up with the insanely high commissions & the fact that the broker wasn't there half the time when I had called to purchase a stock. Transferred the account to Fidelity & added funds when it was available. Also transferred 3 mutual funds held at Bridgeway, T Rowe price, & Wasatch. By 2001, it had reached 200 K & I thought I owned the world. I won't say how much it's worth now, let's just say that every time I login, I have to pinch myself.
