    Michigan Water Park shooting

    Wouldn't be surprised.
  2. It sure is. If he gets caught, what are the odds he's an illegal ? Has to be at least 50/50 The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, around 5’ 5" in his 20s with curly hair, last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack. He appeared to have dental braces on his teeth and had a tattoo of a boar or a bull with red eyes on his chest.

    Michigan Water Park shooting

Oakland County Sheriff’s spokesperson Stephen Huber said the shooter was 42-year-old Michael William Nash of Shelby Township. Sheriff Mike Bouchard said Saturday evening that the gunman had no prior criminal history but apparently suffered privately from what the sheriff called “mental health challenges.” “It’s our understanding that he was undergoing some mental health challenges, but no one that we know of was notified,” Bouchard said during an evening news conference.

    AI gold rush

I bought SOXL in my taxable, IRA, & HSA accounts mid 2022 through early 2023. Incredible returns, but only because I was lucky enough to buy near the lows. The Fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the daily performance of the ICE Semiconductor Index. The Index is a rules-based, modified float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index that tracks the performance of the thirty largest US listed semiconductor companies. https://stockanalysis.com/etf/soxl/ Fidelity Select Semiconductors (FSELX) is a less volatile way to play the semiconductor sector.

Gravesend On Prime (Sopranos Rip Off)

Will check it out. I started watching a movie called den of thieves a couple nights ago. A blatant copy (at least the first half hour) of heat ( Pacino and De Niro)
  9. That would make for one helluva reality series. The odd couple!

  12. Agree that talk is cheap, & everything else you mentioned there. It's just that it's hard to address an issue when it's brought to light and people like Barney Frank & others insisted everything was fine. The seeds for the meltdown were planted decades earlier. This is the best article I've ever read on the subject. https://www.backwoodshome.com/the-meltdown-and-the-bailout-why-how-and-what-they-mean/
  13. The Bush administration warned of the problems long before the meltdown.

Pretty safe to say it won't be the Minnesota Vikings. Haven't found the promised land in 63 seasons.

    What are they doing?

I'll go out on a limb and say most of them either inherited wealth, or married into it.

    The Weather Thread

Thanks. Same story here in south central Minnesota. I have to mow a huge lawn for someone. Only had to do that 3 times total last year. I've already mowed 6 times this year & it needs it again but it's too wet! Amazing how a slight difference in the jet stream's location can change a summer from droughts, to flooding.

    Safe Driving Apps

Good point. Fortunately, my area hasn't got to that point yet. What set me off was something that happened approximately 15 years ago. (American Family) Received a letter saying because my credit score wasn't the highest possible, AF wasn't able to give me the lowest rates possible. I went to the office the very next day and tore into the manager but good. Reminded him that I had been insuring my automobiles with him for the past 22 years, and bundling auto and homeowners insurance for the past 15, with zero claims for either, no speeding tickets, etc, & always paid my bills on time. Told him because of that, he should give me the lowest rate possible, & if the roles were reversed, I'd hang onto him like a rusty vice grip. Thankfully, shortly thereafter, this new stipulation was dropped. I'm guessing enough people took the time to let them know what they thought of it. I'm afraid with each passing day, there's fewer and fewer people that would take the time to do exactly that and just accept it. Regards
