I believe it all depends on when/if debt is seriously addressed. If it was just the 37 trillion, we might be able to chip away at it over time, but when you add the current/future unfunded liabilities of close to 200 trillion relating to Social Security and Medicare, there's just no focking way that it could be seriously addressed without major pain.

The extent to which those in power have allowed things to get out of control in this country over the past 40 years is almost beyond belief. I'm afraid it's going to end very badly.
