taking part in a 12 team in person draft right now
easilyscan replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Good times indeed! I always wanted to do an in person draft, but because our manufacturing plant worked a schedule called 4-4 continuous & there were 4 different crews, it never worked out. -
I'll go with #1 That guy has been around since Netscape was a thing, & someone joked that he was the result of a Netscape & Yahoo merger. That's not an attempt at humor. Tired of the US being blamed for everything that goes wrong around the world. We have our own problems.

New poll shows Harris’s lead over Trump cut in half in must-win swing state
easilyscan replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
In the weeks leading up to the November 2016 election, polls across the country predicted an easy sweep for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. -

In case she wins, we can only hope that she was taken out of context here, & was only addressing her constituents (AKA the low information crowd)

Wise decision. Condolences to the brothers and their families, but streets are for cars. After seeing what I see on the streets/roads in my city on a daily basis, you couldn't pay me enough to drive a bicycle. -
Thomas Sowell: One of the Greatest American Minds
easilyscan replied to 12th Man's topic in The Geek Club
My favorite quote from Mr. Sowell. When you want to help someone, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear. Democrats have been telling African-Americans what they want to hear for 5+ decades. -
Outrageous. Unfortunately, crazy chit like that is everywhere. In Minnesota, you don't need ID to vote, but it's required to purchase a fishing license.

Didn't listen to the conference call, but it looks like revenues were a couple billion short, while earnings beat by $0.05 Shares were down $2.69 in regular trading, and lost another $8.66 after hours. NASDAQ futures currently down 184 points. Revenues for the previous 4 quarters were up 101% - 205% - 265% & 262% YOY Even Nvidia can't keep up that rate of growth forever.

Monday, August 26 NW Of Mankato Minnesota. Even though there wasn't a tornado, this is my best video to date to show what's going on directly beneath a rotating wall cloud/supercell. This is the second time in August that I've been very close to the updraft/mesocyclone area of a supercell. The truck that passes to my right @ 1:42 is a fellow storm chaser who stopped and filmed behind me. There were two others as well.

Is the POS an illegal alien as well ? As for squistion, since the New York civil liberties union isn't an option, I'll ask you. WTF does wearing face masks have to do with people with disabilities ? -
Post A Song You Just Heard Recently You Forgot About And Love

Always liked the song, but never saw the video. Thanks! -
Not making light of this, but that reminded me of a movie called Fatso.

It wasn't from a roast, but good guess. It was actually Joan Rivers. Only someone who is a celebrity and Jewish themselves, could get a pass on making a comment like that.

Agree 100% I registered at eBay in 2002, & started flipping graded cards. I remember buying a Dan Marino PSA 9 rookie for $100, and selling it for $200 the next week. Of course that was back before sniping software was born. Automated bid sniping software Many websites and software packages offer automated bidding based on the end time of an eBay auction. They try to automatically place your bid just before the auction ends, and some try to synchronize with eBay servers to ensure your bid wins. Something else I had a lot of fun with was buying graded cards from grading companies that for whatever reason, had a bad reputation. Honest to God, there was one called snaggletooth grading :) The irony is that no one would buy graded cards from companies like that, even if the cards were correctly graded. This is probably unethical, but I'd buy those cards, carefully cut the case open using a table saw at work, & turn around & sell them for many times what I paid. That didn't last long, but it was a lot of fun while it did.

I don't know when Yahoo started including ads in email accounts, but memory tells me those ads changed quite frequently. Possibly every day. The following hasn't changed since the day harris chose tampon timmy as her VP https://www.imagebam.com/view/MEVGX2H Apollo capital management owns 90% of yahoo, verizon the remaining 10% fockers

Interesting thread. Amazing to see the prices people pay for sports cards, and things like this. I keep thinking that it's all a bubble ready to burst, but admittedly, I've been thinking that for a long time and it hasn't happened.

** UPDATE** My friend hit a holy grail of sportscards.
easilyscan replied to joneo's topic in The Geek Club
Sweet! My most valuable card is a 1998 Randy Moss Topps finest refractor PSA 10 https://mavin.io/item/Randy-Moss-Rookie-RC-1998-Topps-Finest-Non%3DProtector-Refractor-Dual-Sided-PSA-10?itemId=225240096488&q=1998 topps finest refractor randy moss PSA 10 The somewhat bitter irony here is, that I bought 2 of them for around $90 in a single eBay auction sometime in the early 2000s. Knowing I got a great deal, I turned around and sold the 'extra' one for around $100 the following week. Should have held onto it -
