What was it 50 years before that and 50 years before that and 50 years before that? The climate changes, I don't think we're going to be able to do much about it.
-
Just another day from what I can see.
-
They needed AC just as much then as we do now. They just didn't have the same health and safety regulations back then.

Fauci ‘concerned’ people won’t comply if masking recommendations return: 'I hope' they 'abide'

Nope. We have a republican governor and she didn't give in to all the covid crap. One of the things that earned some respect from me. -
Cool. They did here.

My business. We didn't require our employees or customers to wear them. -
Kids have also been getting released from school early because of heat for decades. I don't know why you have such an issue with this. It's not something new.

We didn't require masks last time and we won't this time. -

Are you qualifying yourself as a liberal now? I didn't realize we had so many liberals here. -

What are you talking about? You've never been able to explain what makes me a liberal. -

No, I'm trying to get you to back up what you're saying. You would do the same to me. You're saying the US is illegally bringing in immigrants to take over tech jobs? -

You didn't answer the question. -
I agree with you. I remember my summers being like this a lot when I was a kid. We've been in a terrible drought this summer and our lawn has been pretty brown. I remember playing outside and the yard being similar.
-
Why?
-
I'm not sure why you are relating this to being active. It has nothing to do with that. It's about kids not being in a good learning environment when their classroom is over 90 degrees, has no AC and some don't even have windows.
-
Maybe 2. Usually at the beginning of the school year. We always started school in August and there are usually some pretty hot days those first few weeks. This year was the worst I've seen for the start of the school year. Usually there's only a day or two they let out early for heat.
-
This has nothing to do with lazy. This is nothing new. Schools have been getting out early due to heat for over 30 years here.

What specific jobs are foreigners being "brought" in here for? -

Correct. My business serves the farmer and keeps them up and running. -
Exactly. Some people really have no idea what some of our school systems are actually like across the nation.
-
You know a lot of those kids are going to stay inside and watch TV or play video games. Also, it's much more comfortable outside where there can be a breeze compared to stuffy classrooms. It's hard enough to keep kid's attention in class then you add in the extreme heat.
-
The teachers still stay the entire day. Only the kids are released early.
-
The majority of the school year is during cooler months. When most of our schools were built they did put in AC. Very common around here.
-
Happens with our schools every year. Happened 4 days already with my kid’s schools this year. They don’t have AC and it’s over 90 in the classrooms.
