It should. Side scan has been around a while now so it's available in cheaper units.

Mine is a Garmin 73sv. It has maps, regular sonar, down scan and side scan. I keep it on split screen with down and side scan images to help me find structure. Other than that I use it for knowing my depth and water temp. I use my phone for mapping and waypoints usually. I need to win some tourneys so I can upgrade to live scope.

Congrats! I have a Garmin that I mount on the gear track towards the front left side. I also have a MotorGuide trolling motor mounting to the bow. The motor is the greatest thing I've added. It makes fishing so much more enjoyable.
