Drafted him in one league and has been stashed on my bench. He was drafted in every league I'm in.

Who are you benching and who are you starting? Week-3
GornFishin' replied to ricanrockers's topic in FFToday Board
I hope people picked up that I benched Rueben Randle - 7/116/1- in two leagues. I should have alerted you to the fact that I can turn anyone into a daily superstar with my roster moves. -
I still have that new poster smell. Mmmmm.

***Week 3 Gambling Thread - What are your picks?***

Im off down the agency this afternoon to lay my bets. Not sure what i will do, i'll wait to see what odds are given. Will post later. Started off 1-0 with Gnats but no prizes for that. Good luck to everyone. -
The NFL Just Wont Give The Player Of The Week Award To Brady
GornFishin' replied to $epphori$'s topic in FFToday Board
Not true. I couldn't care less what the Pats do unless my team is playing them that week. Then why are you obsessed with it? Also not true. Team sport is cyclical. The fact that the Pats were once losing all the time proves this. Us? What position do you play? -
On bench for now and wavering between streaming Dalton or Foles. If Steelers get ahead Rams might have no option but to chuck it.
-
That's an overreaction from whoever dropped him. Unfortunately (or fortunately) you're not the guy who would benefit most from grabbing him as Rivers is an extremely solid second QB to own. And Rivers is home next week vs Cleveland so you have your Brady bye fill in already. Maybe pick up and trade one of Brees/Rivers after the Brady bye?
-
He's EXACTLY the type of guy who will drive you batso in FF unless you decide early to avoid him. Always high up on the waiver wire or on the edge of someone's roster. Even if he starts AND goes off once or twice - not guaranteed - has he been worth the effort.

The NFL Just Wont Give The Player Of The Week Award To Brady
GornFishin' replied to $epphori$'s topic in FFToday Board
I think that came down to the Eagles offence being entirely predictable. I was looking up at the TV myself and calling out the obvious screens. And where DMM was trying to run to. Usually nowhere.. My loyal pooch dutifully pretended i was a genius. -
Hamstring within a couple of weeks. Back to leading from the couch.

The NFL Just Wont Give The Player Of The Week Award To Brady
GornFishin' replied to $epphori$'s topic in FFToday Board
Its a subjective award, they can do what they want. It looks like homer reporters are butt hurt about it. Players don't care. Or they shouldn't. Plus, Brady was not exonerated. If he gets some collateral damage for his involvement, I couldn't care less. -
Also unfortunately, Nate Washington has averaged 9.5 and gained much more yardage. Tampa can also be run on..

Eagles season, meet fork. Fork, Eagles.

Week 1 - No Moves Week 2 - I've added Matt Jones in one league (did a double take when he was available) and dropped R Randle. Leaves me a little RB heavy but none are droppable (CJ, Gordon, Gio, Matt Jones, Blount) but I'm sure one of them will suffer something catastrophic soon. Another league I have dropped R Randle and added Dalton pending Brees news. Might start him anyway. Same league added NYJ D and dropped C Clay. Don't need a second TE until Week 8 and Jets D sitting there was too good to pass on.Can now switch between Balt and NYJ D going forward.

Well first, I would put Rivers above that tier.

Whats the deal with owners who are either too dumb or aloof to play but keep paying?

Has someone checked his house? No strange smells noticed by the neighbours? -
Can we all agree to burn the cliche "If he plays for his team, he plays for me"?
GornFishin' replied to tanatastic's topic in FFToday Board
Lacy is also the Monday night game for an extra slice of bumfuckery. You either have to go get Starks or play someone else on Sunday. If you faff around waiting for a GTD on Lacy,,guarantee you'll be screwed. They'll split carries or something equally annoying. I'm just going to roll with a safe decent floor option like Gio or Gordon. Oh, and I've never heard the cliche, but I agree in principle that all sayings should be ignored. Ignorance is bliss. Doh. -
Soooo..... Andy Swanson's advice was about as good as Gloria Swanson's advice would have been.

I'm making more drops than Preston Parker. Dalton for Brees, even if he goes. Torrey for Randle. Matt Jones for um somebody. Maybe Jets D for Balt. -
Pick'em and Survivor Competition - it's easy join us
GornFishin' replied to Voltaire's topic in FFToday Board
Everyone was NO, Miami or Indy I think. Maybe a Baltimore in there. Either way, it was the greatest 2 week Survivor pool I have ever been in, but the journey is at long last over. If it can be restarted, I would be in. -

Who are the big post-week-2 waiver wire guys?
GornFishin' replied to dpbuddha's topic in FFToday Board
Big ones are covered above, but I'll throw in Ty Montgomery, especially if Adams isn't right. Rodgers seems to be warming to him. Taliaferro maybe. Crabtree? The name you're looking for with the Niners is Mike Davis if Hyde can't go, although I think he will.. I'd also like for Jake Stoneburner to become a household name, well, because of the name. And it's DEREK Carr. -
DWill must be giggling to himself the way hes landed on his feet with the Steelers. He gassed himself for 2 weeks winning back a lot of doubters and proving his value, and now gets to sit behind Bell and maybe vulture a few more TDs.. And stays relatively fresh. Bell is still very much the man though. But Steelers must be secretly thrilled with what they have gotten out of DWill and DHB. Nothing was guaranteed there.
