Finance minor guy doesn't understand diversity with your money. This is the exact same guy who came on this site in February and announced he pulled everything he has out of the market because of Trump. And now he:s trying to "advise" others. This right here is AWESOME.

Seriously. The guy doesn't understand the concept of retirement and spouts his opinions about everything under the sun like he knows what he's talking about. I would say it's sad, but at this point, it's pure comedy. I'll be drawing cash for about 6 more years at this point. Well, that's what I have in my savings accounts anyway. And who at this age has car payments?

Keep trying peanut. It's called retirement. Is that too big a word for you? Or do you just never see that day coming for you? Maybe post less, and work more.

Dumbass. You need 500 more links to prove you wrong? Focking idiot. Yes, Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs) in the USPS are generally eligible for health insurance through the Postal Service.

Interesting. I had insurance from my previous job through the time I started my new job. I never even looked at ACA. I hadn't thought of what you are saying, but from here on out, I plan on ALWAYS being in low tax bracket unless something weird comes along. I have head hunters after me all the time, but I have no interest in going back to that space. 20+ years of sitting on planes, no thanks. And work from home? I'm done with that too honestly. But what you have brought up is interesting. Something for me to think upon.

I have not complained about working for a living. So take that to the next guy who doesn't like your input.

Since I didn't take out of my stocks or IRA, I only made like 12,000 last year. Started the job in May 2024 and worked little. I pay about $120 a month for the insurance and got all my tax dollars back. Plus, the job keeps me active. It's not as easy as one would think.

They offer health insurance. USPS must be a scam.

This poor guy gets really angry. Telling me to volunteer instead of work. Yet he sits on this site all day instead of actually doing his job. Just weird.

Nope. I didn't know about the insurance until I joined. And what's with your childish BS?

.75% actually. No other fees or commissions. Honestly, it's a peace of mind thing for me. If that's what it costs, I'll call it a luxury tax. I would rather focus my time on keeping in shape/exercising, enjoying baseball/football, and taking long weekend trips with my girlfriend.

    John Fetterman

The liberals are in-fighting more than than those weirdos in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The play explores themes of dishonesty, sexuality (including homosexuality), aging, and the struggle for power and inheritance.

    Here come the tariffs

When I retired I didn't want to stop being accountable or active. I took a job as a rural mail carrier at the USPS. (Very different than city carrier). When I got assigned to a certain office, I mentioned I don't need to work a lot but am willing to. I basically, for the past year+ have worked about 4-5 days a month. Depending on the season. But even working that little, I get full health insurance. It's pretty nice.

Been with my girlfriend for about 13 or so years now. We never even brought up marriage but do at times just say we are to avoid the "why not?" questions from occasional acquaintances. She is much younger than I am by about 20 years so she has no plans to retire. But at her pace, she could retire in her early 50s although I doubt she would want to. She's never had a penny of debt in her life and it's not because her parents are wealthy. Quite the opposite. Currently she makes about 160k a year. When I worked I topped out at about 140k. I had no interest in management which included sales. I've been a worker bee all my life. And liked it like that. I think the stock is a firm hold for me right now. It's a stock that performs in all economical climates. It has it's ups and downs, but so do all stocks to a degree. I have a long time friend who works in an investment company. He's been there for a while and they have a good rep. After I retired I have them handling my IRA all with good results so far a year and a half in. I know my limitations when it comes to investing. So I don't mess around with it beyond what I do know.
  20. That riff raff is biden's America that Trump is trying to clean up after.
  21. I applaud Trump's America. First, it has the liberals now saying who is a citizen and who isn't (they don't even know they are doing it), which is refreshing, and second, as stated above "don't push ICE agents". In "biden's America" would gutterboy here complain if he got pulled over, got out of his car, pushed the cop and got arrested for it? Only a liberal can be this dumb.
  22. I guess she's some pod cast chick a step below Joe Rogan. Call Her Daddy. I never heard of her prior to this BS a few days ago.

I see. I haven't thought about selling the stock other than, how to approach it. All of the stock is over a year old since I bought. But thinking about when the time comes. I'm won't be eligible for social security for a few years but also thinking about that and how to approach. I know the old rule is wait as long as possible, but I would hate to see some new wave Hillary Clinton get in the white house and fock that all up. Plus, WTF knows when our time will be up on this earth. I have plenty of time to think about it though. How are you withdrawing from you stock? Are you taking out as needed, or simply in larger chunks?
