I tried keeping the vinyl going for a bit when it was pooped out and had a bit of a nostalgic comeback in the form of vinyl stores. I still have all my equipment but no longer partake. I think vinyl makes a revenue of a couple billion in the global market. That's a small % of the overall. But it's cool. As far as touring, people who like going to concerts, just go to concerts. If he's the hot name, people will go. The marketers and producers of the shows these people put on are the what makes the name. This guys music won't last. But if he's making money hand over fist, good for him. The people behind him are the one's who deserve the big bucks. I'm sure they are getting it.

I don't know anyone who buys music anymore, kids or adults. Other than something like those of us who buy XM radio. Which includes a ton of different music. So however those contracts work in that industry, I have no clue. I guess when I purchase XM I'm buying his music? But I don't listen to it. It's garbage. And I've liked some rap over the years. Just only the entertaining bits.

I am no half time show fan even for groups or singers that I like. And I mentioned it to my GF that even when I didn't like the music, I could see why people thought it entertaining. Would have been great to have brought in Mulder and Scully in an office setting at the end being dejected that they couldn't fully prove that it happened.
