Dream on. A suggested bill like that from a liberal would include $6T in support of foreign wars and another $90T for some green new deal type trash. I for one am pretty interested in seeing what it would do to the industry. But, then again, I'm old and in my 50s and don't really care in the end because I think it's not a bad thing, even if the results turn out not as expected. It's more interesting than anything to me.

One thing about no tax on tips is, it's gonna change the industry, no? With tips, places can pay less per hourly wage legally. If no taxes. Will they have to up the wages? Will cheap people feel they won't want to tip as much? For me it won't change a thing, but for 20 year olds going out to eat, 30 year olds going out to eat....it is a complete unknown how this will affect the restaurant business. Tips are the majority of some people's income. No reporting on them means you fall below the poverty line. How is that going to look for a large industry of workers? Maybe more people will want to get into the service industry and it could help? Who knows, maybe some creative restaurant owners will compel their clientele to leave cash tips and they will partake in sharing the tips. There are a lot of particular ethnic places where the owners do that. I made a point of never working for them. But they do it. I'm not for or against it. It's just going to be interesting how it all plays out.

Definitely. If I leave cash, I usually try to hand it to them. I'm just paranoid about leaving cash on the table. But that's my problem.
