Influx of migrant children costs the public school system an estimated $2 billion per year
seafoam1 posted a topic in The Geek Club
https://www.foxnews.com/media/influx-migrant-children-costs-public-school-system-estimated-2-billion-per-year-report An estimated three million illegal immigrants poured into the country in fiscal year 2023, according to a report by the Heritage Foundation on the consequences of migrants on American schools. And, while there is not currently a reliable count of the total enrollment of children in public schools who were brought to the U.S. illegally, indications are that the influx is costing American taxpayers billions of dollars. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has encountered more than 470,000 unaccompanied migrant children since Joe Biden became president in 2021. Most of them have been enrolled in America's public schools, likely costing the public education system billions of dollars over the past 3 years, as public schools are required by law to enroll minors regardless of immigration status. The CBP encountered 145,474 accompanied and unaccompanied minors nationwide in FY 2023. Based on the national average spending of $16,345 per student, if each such child enrolled in public schools, it would increase national education spending by more than $2 billion for one year, according to the Heritage report's facesheet. Heritage scholars and two of the report's authors, Lindsey Burke and Lora Ries, told Fox News Digital that American parents already have enough to worry about regarding their kids' education with "woke curriculum and hyper-sexual content that the left is pushing." -

Well, he wanted to call them out for the liberal riots of 2020 but the liberal city mayors said "NO!" It's always the liberals who have the love of violence. And Trump said they should have the national guard at the capital but Pelosi said. "NO!" Do you remember seeing all those cops standing down outside the capital? They knew a selfie fest when they saw one. -

Both can be true. And no one said all. -
Nobody has a clue what Poles will do. There are a ton of people guessing and someone will guess right, but it would just be a lucky guess is all. The whole thing about the trade market is all speculation. I could see Poles keeping Fields and trading down in the draft, trading Fields and trading down in the draft, keeping Fields and drafting a QB, and whatever combination of things including drafting Williams at #1. I hear a lot about Washington wanting the #1 really bad. But I have no clue. If Washington does want it that bad, Bears can trade down twice if they want to keep Fields for another year. In the end, if all they would get for Fields is a third, why not keep Fields, build the team and trade down for multiple early picks, including in this draft and go after 2 QBs next year and let them fight it out for starter job? I honestly don't care. It's just fun this year because I honestly trust whatever Poles does.. One thing we know for sure is, Poles made out big last year. D. J. Moore, a great starting right tackle in Wright, a very promising CB in Stevenson, and a #1 this year. Let's see what that #1 turns into.

It’s just the second time a president’s in-person address to a joint session of Congress was not delivered in January or February. Biden delivered his first address to Congress March 1, 2022. It comes after Washington officials spent the first two months of 2024 scrambling to avert a government shutdown while also warring over Biden’s supplemental foreign aid request for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Meanwhile, a war rages in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel, Ukraine is beginning to feel the drain of U.S. resources and China continues to stir concerns it could move to curb Taiwan’s independence. There’s also the issue of the worsening border crisis back home, and House Republicans told Fox News Digital they want to see Biden address it Thursday night. Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., the No. 3 leader in the House, said he was skeptical Biden could adequately address the crises he is facing this year. "No amount of scripted rhetoric from the White House will change the fact that the real State of the Union has been defined by the unprecedented crisis at our southern border, total chaos overseas and lingering economic struggles caused by Joe Biden’s failed policies," Emmer told Fox News Digital. -
It's the liberals needing the national guard in their liberal run cities.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow predicts country doomed if Trump wins again

They will literally push it until something breaks. They feel the power and can't stop getting enough. It's like some group of kids on the school ground who keep picking on someone until that someone snaps and shows up one day and takes them out. It is the only way they will go down unfortunately. -

Hume warns 'the country sees' that Biden is 'palpably senile' as State of the Union approaches
seafoam1 posted a topic in The Geek Club
Dude ain't wrong. I wonder how much gop creepy joe will be gooped up on. https://www.foxnews.com/media/hume-warns-country-sees-biden-palpably-senile-state-union-approaches Biden recently recounted speaking with former French and German leaders years after they passed Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume is not surprised by the growing concerns about President Biden's age and mental acuity – he believes they have been a "ticking time bomb." Asked on Super Tuesday whether he could have envisioned months ago current polls showing independent voters leaning toward former President Trump on a number of issues, Hume chalked it up at least in part to President Biden's cognizance. "I was saying back when it was not at all fashionable to say it, that he is senile. And now I think he is palpably senile and the country sees it," Hume said on "Special Report" as Super Tuesday polls prepared to close in 15 states and American Samoa. Hume said a major challenge for Biden lies later in the week when he will give the annual State of the Union on Thursday, highlighting that the president must prove to Americans that he is not too old for the job. Biden has been dogged by several newsmaking gaffes in recent weeks, including a reference to Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi as the "president of Mexico" while discussing the Israel-Gaza conflict, and instances where he recounted talking to former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and French President François Mitterrand several years after they died. The president also caused a stir after a Connecticut speech on gun control in 2023, when he closed his remarks with "God Save the Queen, man." By that time, King Charles III had become the British monarch upon the passing of his mother Elizabeth II the year prior. On "Special Report," anchor Bret Baier further questioned Hume on Biden's upcoming State of the Union, citing contentious moments from past addresses, where Republicans were seen visibly objecting to Biden's claim the GOP wants Medicare and Social Security to "sunset" – as well as comments about the need for a secure border, which elicited interjections of "wall!" "The entitlement issue is still a big issue, both parties [are] not dealing with it. But you wonder how the State of the Union is going to set up on the issue of Israel, for example," Baier said. Hume said Biden came out "strong" in favor of Israel but has since "rhetorically moved away" from the Jewish State. "Reports are the White House is furious with Benjamin Netanyahu and the president has talked about the need for more humanitarian aid into Gaza and all the rest of it, which suggests he's softening on his support. I'm not sure he really is. But it's a big issue," he said. "And within his own party, his support for Israel is hurting him with a wing of the party which is considerably larger than it is in the Republican Party, for example, that is very sympathetic toward the Arab side in this conflict and long has been and especially toward those who are suffering in Gaza." -
Nope. He said you are fragile. So I guess you are fragile. And he called me upset. So...it MUST be true. He's great to talk football with.

They don't know how to use google or watch anything other than brady bunch reruns. And just now, on CBS they are announcing that NYC is deploying the national guard into the subways because of the rising crime. They are putting cameras on trains in the conducters car and etc, etc etc. So these idiots want a link to CBS news channel or they refuse to believe it. Liberals are so stupid. -
