https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/a-houthi-missile-got-so-close-to-a-us-destroyer-the-warship-turned-to-a-last-resort-gun-system-to-shoot-it-down-report/ar-BB1hzpcY?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=1dc519772f3d4baf84431f4bc9f397ef&ei=21 A Houthi anti-ship cruise missile fired into the Red Sea came within a mile of a US Navy destroyer on Tuesday, close enough that the American warship turned to its Close-In Weapon System — a last line of defense. Most missiles are shot down farther out. This is the closest that a Houthi attack has come to an American warship, four US officials told CNN, which reported additional details of the incident on Wednesday. US Central Command, or CENTCOM, initially said on Tuesday that around 11:30 p.m. local time, the Houthis fired a single anti-ship cruise missile from Yemen toward the Red Sea and it was shot down by USS Gravely. There were no reported damage or injuries. CENTCOM declined Business Insider's request for additional information on Tuesday's missile downing. For several months, the Iran-backed rebels have relentlessly fired one-way attack drones and missiles into key waterways off the coast of Yemen. Many of these threats have been shot down by US warships — and sometimes by British or French forces — though some of the munitions have struck commercial vessels transiting the region. No warships have been struck. US Arleigh Burke-class destroyers are equipped with at least one CIWS, which features a close-range, radar-guided automatic 20 mm cannon that can fire up to 4,500 rounds per minute and has an effective range out to about two nautical miles. Before a ship's CIWS is engaged, capabilities like the warship's SM-2 or SM-3 interceptors come into play. These are fired from vertical launch system cells before they then intercept and destroy airborne threats. An SM-3 "hits threats with the force of a 10-ton truck traveling 600 mph," according to Raytheon, the weapon's manufacturer. When asked about this, creepy joe biden gave the following stern warning to anyone who would listen...:

Cori Bush's 'Urgent' Job Listing Surfaces Amid Criminal Investigation

Lock her up!!! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/cori-bush-s-urgent-job-listing-surfaces-amid-criminal-investigation/ar-BB1hyEn8?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=1dc519772f3d4baf84431f4bc9f397ef&ei=12 An "urgent" job posting for Representative Cori Bush's team has surfaced in the wake of the congresswoman's confirmation that she is the subject of multiple investigations, including a Department of Justice probe. A Tuesday listing posted to Daybook, a job search website for political, policy and non-profit jobs, said that Bush was "urgently hiring" for a communications and staff assistant to serve in the dual role at her congressional office. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 31. Bush's team told Newsweek that the job was initially posted on her campaign page on January 23, before the news of the DOJ investigation broke and that her office had never engaged with Daybook. The Daybook opening was posted the same day that Bush confirmed she was being investigated by the DOJ, the House Ethics Committee and the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in relation to her use of campaign donations and the hiring of her husband as part of her security team. She said she is fully cooperating with the DOJ probe but denied allegations that she used federal funds to pay for personal security. -

Cori Bush under Justice Department investigation over alleged misuse of security funds

She needs security. Oh...and money... You don't. Captal punishment should be on the table. The Justice Department is investigating "Squad" member Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., over the alleged misuse of government funds intended to pay for her security, two sources tell Fox News. The probe is related to allegations of federal security money being spent improperly, the sources said. A subpoena announcement was read on the House floor Monday, and sources said it was related to the investigation into Bush. The Justice Department declined to comment. Responding to Fox News Digital, Bush's office provided a statement confirming the "Department of Justice is reviewing my campaign’s spending on security services." The congresswoman blamed "right-wing organizations" for the DOJ probe, as well as other investigations into the matter by the Federal Election Commission and the House Committee on Ethics. "I have not used any federal tax dollars for personal security services. Any reporting that I have used federal funds for personal security is simply false," she said in part. One of those watchdog groups, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), reacted to news of the Justice Department probe and defended having filed an official complaint with the FEC in 2023 regarding the details of repeated payments Bush made to a man who is now her current husband. "In her own FEC filings the payments were initially characterized as being for 'security.' Among the many troubling facts involved that we strongly felt justified an investigation were her close personal relationship, her large payments to others for the same services at the same time, and that her husband reportedly didn’t have a license to provide those services," FACT executive director Kendra Arnold said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital. -

Great. One of nine in the country on the highest court doesn't know how to deal with a tricky question. Only focking liberals are this stupid.
