Arizona is tanking this year for sure

I don't see how getting a 4th year QB who has started a total of 2 games in his previous 3 years and lost them both, has no real perceived upside by any team in the league, and who most NFL fans have never heard of, defines a team who is trying to win. Sounds more like they are trying to give off the impression they are trying to win because, oooooo, they got a new QB. (Just happens to be a bad QB on his third team now. Teams didn't even want him as a backup). But they picked a terrible QB to assist in their losing is the reality. If they really really wanted to win 5-6 games, they would have waited and offered a 2nd round pick for Kirk Cousins or the like. Arizona wants Caleb Williams in a bad way. But they will soon have a lot of competition that will be joining the tankathon sweep stakes a few weeks down the line. Here's your tracker. Save it in your favorites. You'll be following all year. https://tankathon.com/nfl

    Cowboys post Dak Prescott

So they will probably finish with 7-8 wins this year if not more, which will put them out of the range of the top QBs in the draft. Taking a chance on Lance is not unwise in the least. Dude has barely had a chance to play due to injuries. And he wasn't the type of QB that fit the 49ers. I think Lance gets a shot over any possible rookie if Prescott does indeed get let go in 2025.

    Anyone own a Mazda CX?

I'm looking at the 2024 Mazda CX-50 Turbo. My Jeep has 160k and I'm thinking about going automatic shift with a little get up and go for once instead of my slow rolling 6 speed manual that can crush things in 4WD but only goes from 0-60 in like 2 hours. AWD should be good enough on the Mazda small SUV. I hear they are very reliable and pretty fun to drive. Anyway, just wondering.

UPDATE: De'Von Achane Knee Injury - IR

Thing is he's only had 38 carries on the year. If that's truly not sustainable for him, then he's cooked in this league.

Week 6 Thursday night under over

Now I see the U/O has come down to 47. Early bets in on the under.
  6. Denver vs. KC (-10.5) U/O set at 49 Denver is the worst defensive team in the league giving up an average of over 450 yards per game. Last in giving up points per game with 36.2 And that's against LV, Wash, MIA, Chicago, NYJ. One powerhouse offense only but that accounted for freaking 70, so...an outlier. KC is #7 in offensive yards per game at 381. And top 10 in points per game. Offensive points per game 29.5 How many points do the Chiefs score vs. Denver playing in KC? You think they cover the 49 on their own?

Week 6 Thursday night under over

With all the talk about coming out and playing flat it looks like so far this year it's been the defenses that have been flat on Thursday nights. Not the offenses. Week1 - Doesn't really qualify as a true Thursday night after a week of games. Week 2 - 62 points Week 3 - 42 points Week 4 - 54 Week 5 - 60 3 overs and 1 under.

    Cowboys post Dak Prescott

And why wouldn't a team take that chance when they have a QB that won't be there in 2 years? A 4th for that level of raw talent? Gotta give the Cowboys credit, I'm surprised it took a team that long to make that move. It's not like the dude is a bad egg or anything. He just needs to be healthy and have a chance to show if he's for real or not.
  9. Previously 2 weeks of losing having scored in the top 2 and top 3 of the 12 team league. Now a week where my QB goes down early in the game, and an RB goes down early. Richardson and Conner. So I lose by a simple ~15 points against opponent and average. Ok it happens to everyone at some point over the years of playing, but I had high hopes for this year as it took a couple years to put the team together. (Contract league) Maybe it's just the mood I'm in this week but I'm now 4-6 and could easily have been 8-2 or even 7-3 would have been fine. I guess this belongs in the FU thread but holy hell, I suppose it's just the bad fantasy football mood I'm in today. A wasted Breece Hall effort to top it off. At least I've had a very good year so far with the sports book.
  10. Here's an aside that makes my week so much better after that FF debacle I had this past weekend. Totally off topic but whatever. Think of Monte Python, "And now, for something completely different". Sorry about that, but I consider that FF therapy. I'm just forgetting about it for the next couple hours. Hawks may get beat but I somewhat expect it and don't care. I even bet on the Hawks because it's Bedard's first game ever in the NHL.

    Anyone own a Mazda CX?

Thanks. I never had a touch screen in my cars but had them in rentals plenty of times. This one has a 7" display. Not sure if that is considered small or if it's touch screen or not. I like the knob as well though as Gutter mentioned above. As far as the radio I'm pretty stuck in my presets on XM radio. 4 or 5 specific music stations 4 sports stations, and maybe the comedy channel or whatever. I'll have to take a look at their navigation system to see if I want it as it's an add on for the car I'm looking at I think. Toyotas are always in the picture so I may take a test drive but I like the dimensions of the Mazda CX50 at this point along with the 256 horsepower turbo engine. Of all things though, I have my Wrangler in the shop for an oil change and a couple warning lights. Seems the airbag behind the steering wheel needs a new spring and some check engine code that is even cryptic for mechanics is on. I told the guy, who I've known for years now, that I'm going to probably sell the car (if I don't keep it as a second car that is) and all I want to do is make it safe. Nothing extra at this point. The Wrangler has been awesome til it hit about 140,000. Then it has needed a lot of work.

    War in Israel

Go figure. Ilhan Omar condemns Israel’s military response to Hamas Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., attacked Israel's response to an unprecedented assault by Hamas in an extensive thread on social media Monday. Omar, a longtime critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinians, seemed to equate the Israeli victims killed by Hamas terrorists this weekend and Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israeli response. "Just as we honor the humanity of the hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians and 9 Americans who were killed this weekend, we must honor the humanity of the innocent Palestinian civilians who have been killed and whose lives are upended," she wrote. Omar went on to highlight the hardships of living in Gaza, accusing Israel of operating an "apartheid" state in an attempt to explain violence by Hamas. "Palestinian residents of the West Bank have scarcely better lives than Gazans — with the routine destruction of their ancestral homes, destruction of their crops, and violent attacks by Israeli settlers," Omar wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Omar's office did not respond to questions from Fox News Digital asking her to elaborate on the thread. The congresswoman did not clarify how she believed Israel should have responded to Saturday's attack, which has since left at least 1,000 Israelis dead and 2,700 more wounded. The Minnesota Democrat's only suggestion for a "solution to this horror" was "a negotiated peace — with Israelis and Palestinians enjoying equal rights and security guarantees." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ilhan-omar-condemns-israels-military-response-hamas-solution-negotiated-peace

I'll probably test drive a Rav 4 but I think it's bigger than I need these days.
  16. Well, you gave a "shet" enough to inject yourself into the conversation. Wish you hadn't cause it's annoying to chat with the TDS inflicted, but whatever...

Arizona is tanking this year for sure

Teams tear down to get ready to build up. That's a form of tanking. Bears did it last year. People use the tanking word because the teams want to start over and you can't ask the players to not play hard so you sell off your big name players to get the most draft capital out of it and it just so happens that when you tear down your team is more likely to lose. So the word tanking isn't that all the players lose on purpose, it's the coaching and management that trigger the tanking. And I have no issues when they do that. From a fantasy perspective In my superflex dynasty league, I lost Watson to suspension for a long time and no chance I could win with only one QB at the time. So I sold off my skilled older quality players (the likes of Keenan Allen, etc) to those who were in competition for the playoffs for first and second round rookie draft picks. Got me players like Breece Hall, Anthony Richardson, Zay Flowers, Sam LaPorta and some other guys I'm forgetting at the moment. That's not that too far fetched of a comparison to the NFL. If you know you are 3 years away from competing for a championship and you have a $20M dollar stud DE on your roster under contract for 2 more years, what's the point of keeping him instead of getting a first round pick for him?
  18. So what? Hussein is not a nickname. I was not talking about Trump, that other dude said it's not right to say Hussein because it incites people, or whatever he said (last page before this one). And I understand you think that "Jizzwad" is Trump's middle name. That is what TDS does to the liberal mind. TDS is real. I get it. I've understood that about liberals for quite few years now.

  21. Hussein Obama is not a nickname. And that was the topic being discussed. Not sure why Trump needed to be brought into that part of it.
  22. Dude wanted to close the borders to people coming in during a pandemic. He was called a xenophobe by many in the liberal government.

Ezekiel Elliott signed a 6 year, $90,000,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $7,500,000 signing bonus, $50,052,137 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $15,000,000.

    War in Israel

I wish this nation had a segregation wall instead of just blurred inner city district lines. It would be nice to have a wall around California as well. Don't let any of them out to vote for what they voted for that ruined that state.
