Yes, for sure, but calling it an "absolute victory" or an "absolute failure" is not really how these things work. It takes time to get to the ultimate goal and sometimes you take two steps forward, sometimes it's two steps back but as long as you're moving in the right direction - no matter how slight - it's still progress. Maybe that's the better term - "progress". Some people won't ever give Trump credit and some people always give Trump credit. That's partisan hooey. It's small steps. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take so I give Trump credit for at least trying to move the needle.

Well, I won't call it a "success" until the war actually ends but, again, that doesn't mean you stop trying. If having this meeting moved the needle in the direction of it ending soon, then maybe we can say it was a small success but no one can claim victory until this ends.
