I don't consider "running" to be a skillset a QB should have. That's the domain of the Running Back (note the word "Running" in the title). That's not a skillset a QB should have. If the QB IS running all the time then that's not a skillset - it's a survival technique to cover up the fact that he can't pass very well, work the pocket or read defenses.

Uhm...you don't get to count rushing TDs in with the passing stats to make it look better than what it really was. He had 24 passing TDs - very average. He would have many more passing TDs if he wasn't always running at the first sign of a defender crossing the line of scrimmage. And he has to be able to get past the first read if it's not there and look for the 2nd and 3rd ones. That is what an actual passing QB can do Learn to navigate the pocket.

Well, you all know how I feel about running QBs - they run because they can't pass. I don't think we should be validating them because then NFL teams are going to continue to draft them. QBs should use running to supplement their passing game, not using passing to supplement their running game. That's why you pay running backs - to run the ball. You pay QBs to pass the ball and captain the team. The running QB is a short-term fix for a long-term problem. Once Jackson can't run anymore due to age or injury - and that's going to happen very soon - you'll see the experiment fail. It happens like clockwork 100% of the time...EVERY time.
