Advanced and good civilizations just don't happen overnight. It's an iterative process over thousands of years of learning from your successes but mostly from your mistakes. Make no mistake, though, bad civilizations are still competing and we've seen what bad civilizations look like when your crowd gets in control: Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba to name a few, which is why it is of upmost importance to prevent your kind from taking over the greatest country in the world.
