Well, he finished with 23 pts but it was hard earned. My mistake was benching Ertz with 18 pts.
-
Guess I’ll trust my intuition next time.
-
Yeah I hate TNF as well. I guess I’ll follow my own advice of never benching your stars

Ok Weepaws. You’ve converted to taking t/e’s in j double digit rounds and/or streaming. Who we streaming week two?
-
Ok. Update when you can. No pressure but I’ve designated you as my FF guru this year. i know we’ve butted heads but I’ve always respected your insight
-
At least the NFL gets kudos for consistently. What a disgrace. These games are so scripted it’s sickening. Shame

Maybe this should be in the A Little Help section but here goes anyway. An interesting proposal was made to me today even before tomorrow’s games. A Washington fan offered me Bo Nix and Drake London for Jaylen Daniel’s and Metcalf. My initial thoughts were “yeah right “ but after thinking about it, doesn’t seem as ridiculous as I thought. Does this sound do able?
-
Yes but you have proven over and over that you’re the biggest jerkoff on the board. No offense.
-
Yeah you’re probably right but then again I benched Keenan Allen and Javonte Williams this week.

Najee Harris injured in Fourth of July fireworks incident
wolves111 replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in FFToday Board
So, Harris has a one-year deal or roughly $5 million, $3,75 of it signing bonus. Hampton has a 4-year rookie deal at $17. 5 million with a $9.5 million signing bonus. Hampton drafted this year in round one after averaging 5.7 yds/carry over three years. The last two it was 5.9 yds/carry. Harris has no history with Harbaugh. He's 27 and Hampton is 22. Harris was nothing special with Pittsburgh and getting older will not change that. I'll go out on a limb and say Hampton is the starter and Harris a one-year rental back up. -
Going round and round preparing draft strategy's and keep coming back to the QB question. First, did anyone win their league championship last year with one of the top four QB's and what round did you draft them? I have the 4th pick in a 10 team, full ppr, 6 pts for all td's league. Mocks I've been doing, Lamar and Allen go in round three frequently. Great picks but that high price has a negative ripple effect. Guy's like weepaws wait until later rounds and tell us it works well for them. I've tried it a few times without much success. How does everyone approach this topic?
-
Well, I think my draft turned out ok. Maybe not great but ok. Ten team, full ppr, 6 pts all tds. QB- Daniels, Maye RB- Gibbs, Irving, Hampton. Dobbins. J Williams, Algier WR- Hill, Metcalf, Harrison Jr, O'Duze, Allen, Mims T/E- Engram K- Bates Little weak at WR but can play three RB's if needed. Took Daniels in round three after Allen and Lamar went right ahead of me. Panicked. Oh well.

One last comment. The list of GM’s who were fired for signing players based on past performance is a long one. Guys like Roseman, a nerd who never played football, is headed to the HOF. Why is that? FF is about identifying the players ready to excel, rather than players who have excelled. We can all rank the top five at any position but what wins is identifying the ones ready to join them. Is it a dice roll? Yep. Go with your gut and don’t be bullied by someone else’s opinion
-
And that’s the take away. And your comment about seeing a breakout is spot on.
-
Guess I know more than most
-
I guess my concern is he just as likely to get benched as he is to be relevant. Rather draft C Williams a couple rounds earlier
-
Thx. I guess my other idea that looks doable is Bo Nix at his adp which I think is around 7-8 round. Might be a decent option in A Payton offense
-
Do your own analysis. I have been following the so called experts since May. Mike Clay , from ESPN rankings looked good. Then I watched the experts draft yesterday with him and Fields, etc, and they drafted like any other person doing their best guess. Been doing this since 1994. Had a FF radio show in Philly in n 2002-2004. These fake experts know as much as you do. Do the research. Hope for luck. In a ten team league you have a ten percent chance of winning. In a 12 team league about 8 percent. Relax and just have fun

Saquon criticism this offseason has been over the top. Using history as an absolute rather than a trend with exceptions (I.e. Marshall Faulk, LT, Emmitt, Henry to name a few) the “experts” are convinced he won’t come near duplicating last year’s results. Despite running behind the best OL in the league and playing alongside arguably the best group of skill position players he’s being drafted behind Chase, Robinson, Jefferson and Gibbs. Ill do cartwheels if he falls to me at pick five.

Democrats lead Republicans in party preference per new Gallup Poll
wolves111 replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
NBC poll. I continue to be amazed how many Americans are brain dead. The Dems are evil. Satan evil. -
Yeah Garrett Wilson thought Rodgers was bad. Fields says hold my beer. Good thing he got paid already
-
Ok that makes sense. So off topic as I alluded to Jefferson apparently already pulled a hamstring. In 2023 he literally cost me the league for the same injury by missing seven games for the same injury. Coincidence it was a contract year. Do you downgrade him for recurring hamstring issues? Is he the guy who gets paid and fades?
-
Yep good analysis. Especially since Jefferson already hurt his hammy. Bring slept on doesn’t mean he won’t be drafted high. Being slept on means rather than ranking him 1 or 2 in the draft the experts, cough cough, are looking for reasons not to draft him where he should be drafted. Hope that helps
