    Checked Geek Forum Today

I’ve been on this board for several years and never checked out the Geek forum. Good thing to because with my big mouth Mike would have banned me. I never thought I’d agree with weepaws on any topic but he’s my hero on a lot of those discussions. Keep defending the truth weepaws

    O-lines Matter

I've lived in Philly my entire life. He was fired. He was fired because he overstayed his welcome and had lost the team. He got hired immediately in K. C. by his friend and former Eagles exec Carl Petersen. K.C. had six pro bowl players, mostly on defense, and were ready to ascend. All they needed was a QB. The fans here in Philly ripped Reid for weeks because they felt that he had abandoned the team. His son had issues dating back years before his death. Rumors in the media of selling weed to players, were commonplace. His other son as we know also had issues and went to jail. Reid didn't leave K.C. because of it. To say definitively Laurie and he had an agreement is speculation at best. To insult someone with a different opinion just defines ignorance.

    Qb scoring change

So the QB gets 10 pts for every 100 yards? That’s extremely high. Add on the 6 pts for tds and you just gave weepaws a coronary. This scoring system obviously favors QBs and pocket passer’s especially. A guy like Dak last year would have had an incredible season. Mitigates the running QB somewhat but it’s not a scoring system I’d sign up for

    Any Love for Love?

This kid Reed had a sneaky good year. He’s not the fastest or the biggest but reminds me of a solid # 3 for ff

Ah, name calling. Ok. Going to be a long season.

    O-lines Matter

Well, I know the media and radio stations, the callers, and fans at the home games spent SEVERAL years criticizing, cursing, and vilifying him. The last straw was when he named his offensive line coach, Juan Castillo, his defensive coordinator. I know these things to be true. Cracks me up when people forget what really happened when it's convenient. Cracks me up more when they believe the Eagles spin on things when it goes to crap.
  7. My question is this. Does it make more sense to draft the higher or lower adp players? Gibbs, Puka, in particular seem to be ready to be the alpha but at 1st round prices. Montgomery and Kupp going several rounds later but their production might not be that much lower. A J Browns numbers aren’t much higher than D Smith but Smith can be had in round four. I’m sure we can identify many more examples. How do you approach the value of players on teams with multiple weapons?

    Chiefs Running Backs

So another one eh. Do you have any guts at all? Do you have any morals at all? How can you roll over and just let these sick deviants affect everything and everyone? Be a man for once in your life and take a stand. Unless you’re as deviant as he is

    Chiefs Running Backs

    Why the queer colors?
  12. That’s actually a very good point.

    O-lines Matter

Yeah and the Philly fans ran Andy Reid out of town because he lived by that mantra. Kansas City thanks us. Sometimes it’s embarrassing for me to be from Philly.
  15. Yesterday MSM had an article anointing Xavier Worthy as KC next Tyreek. His immediate chemistry with Mahomes was obvious. Today? Yeah hold that thought. Apparently his propensity for dropping passes in college graduated to the pros. Suddenly his not to worry about groin pulls are a concern along with his alligator arms. in literally 24 hours he went from sleeper to asleep. Now they recommend not drafting him. The point? The point is the regular contributors on this site do hours of reading and research that their thoughts and projections are more helpful than the nerds, Dei hires, and frauds the media presents. ESPN daily NFL live show is the perfect example. It’s awful. The Mina chick blows, along with the rest of the cast. I get more insight from you guys. Thx for your input

    Dropping the Soap

Surprised to see Gibbs that high. Wasn’t even a full time starter.

    A Different Topic: Nostalgia

As I just mentioned in a previous thread this will be my 31st year doing FF. Started in 1994. My first three picks were Elway, Rodney Hampton and Timmy Brown. Finished 9th in a ten team, TD only league. A family league that my aunt kept the scoring by hand after your called in your lineup. It was amazing as she won the league 5 times in about 7 years. No cheating there. Anyway, I was curious if any of the old timer like me remember their first team? Thought it was a good topic to pass the time while we wait for the new season.

    RB Rankings

Well, last year there were six rb's with 211 pts or more. Just two WR's so there's that. After 30 years of doing this, it's ingrained in my thick head!

    RB Rankings

Expanded it to include Henry, Gibbs, and Williams.

    RB Rankings

I thought you would be less of a this year but I guess I was wrong.
  22. wolves111

    RB Rankings

Yeah, I won't do that. At minimum I take one RB. Another interesting comparison is Puka, Wilson and Brown. Leaning towards Puka even with Kupp looming. Wilson would seem to have less competition but it's the JETS!
  23. wolves111

    RB Rankings

Yeah, I initially thought that as well but his pts per game was higher than the rest of them last season. Doesn't mean he can repeat it but he's in a good offense so he just might. As for the rookie behind him? Be a good handcuff.

The case against the top RBs

Kind of gives credence to drafting Wr early and taking second level rbs.

    ADP news

I’m drafting 10th and like you he’ll be long gone. Most likely two of Gibbs, Taylor and Barkley at rb will be there. How you ranking them?
