    Ukraine - Doomsday

comments from the video. i wont attest to the veracity of them but there were quite a few thought provoking ones: 1. This meme review has made me feel less looming dread regarding the situation. Thanks, AC. 2. last time this happened was the start of the Iraq war. 3. Edit: So after reading a little more about it, it's likely not some "ramp up to WW3" but actually a really bad sign that our forces are in such bad shape that the reserves couldn't even handle a 3,000 troop call up without dipping into the IRR. That's honestly more concerning. 4. IIRC, it is up to 3,000 from the guard and reserve, and around 500 from the IRR (for special skill sets and job qualifications). Five. Hundred. Meanwhile, all the Chicken Littles are out there losing their minds, worried that their overweight 11B butts will be called back. If you're that susceptible to panic and misinformation, it's a good bet you're not smart enough to be one of the people they're looking for. 5. Honestly this isn't entirely out of the normal. We do constant troop rotations to Europe and all of our basses across the world on a regular basis. The only unusual thing it's reserve members rather than active duty members, but recruitment numbers are low the last few years, so in order to avoid pulling troops from other areas and locations, we are activating reserve members to fill the gap. Reminder: This is absolutely normal for us to rotate troops to and from our allied nations all over the world It's just a show of force. We did the same thing to China, N. Korea, we station troops in neighboring allied countries to make them rethink their options. 6. Every soldier kicked out because of not getting the wuflu poke. Sorry no Covid shot, oopsy can't go, oh you want me back NOW... 7. Good thing Biden has 81 million voters to send. I'm sure they'll get the job done 8. I'm concerned about the chances of escalation as well, but I don't see how 3000 individuals is anything to write home about. We've been running a skeleton crew in Europe, with low numbers on the eastern flank specifically to appease Russia. In the Cold War we had more than 300k personnel in Europe ready to go at a moment's notice. Right now we're still only at around 100k total. 9. They started pulling corpsmen from the IRR months before this thing was signed 10. I timed out of irr in January literally dodged a bullet I was wondering why I got a text yesterday asking if I wanted to reenlist 11. I'm sure all the weirdos on reddit and twitter will volunteer for the draft, yay! 12. This is an authorization for the IRR, not an actual activation for the IRR. You can see there has been plenty of these over the last 23 years, but actual IRR activations haven't happened since 2001 and 2004. 13. Dood, imagine if Trump was doing this... 14. Not gonna lie, very disappointed in your stirring up of panic. IRR callups have been used for multiple instances, including supporting Ebola pandemic support in Africa in 2014, and let's not forget the 1000000 that Trump called to active duty for Covid. Unsubscribed, your right-leaning bias is showing.

    Ukraine - Doomsday

the US isnt exactly planning on a conventional war. The elites will go to their bunkers, and the people will ask where are the fallout shelter and get nothing but silence in return.

    Ukraine - Doomsday

yup. i didnt bother to mention it because weve had troops there all this time. but the extra 3000 troops is mission creep, which has been going on since the war started. We are heading for WW3 very very quickly. i dont know how many here remember the Gulf War of 1991 but the US actually started with Operation Desert Shield and massed troops and equipment and supplies. Then one day they announced Operation Desert Storm and swept into Kuwait. Its the same thing here, except Russia will nuke us if we do it.

    nuclear war - doomsday⌛

The world has been in agreement for decades that Iran should never get nukes because everyone agrees they would use them. Its at a point where Israel will bomb their nuclear facilities if they suspect they are close to building them. Meanwhile, the world is in agreement that Russia is bluffing. Together its insane reasoning. The positions make no sense. But here is what make sense. They know Russia will use them but cannot stop it, so our leaders are just lying to us about it and falsely claiming its a bluff with no evidence. Except for Joe Biden, who as leader has repeatedly come out and said its not a bluff but people like Nobody ignore it. When it comes to Iran, our leaders also know that theyd use them but can actually prevent them Iran from building them by bombing their facilities if they get close. But nevermind, people like nobody just lap up the talking points and what Joe Biden says, well, he memory holes that. And every time I point out the their guy Biden has said nuclear war is a real threat, they go quiet for a couple weeks or so, then after theyve memory holed it, they go back and say im wrong. we weve been doing this dance for months. right now nobody is desperately trying to forget AGAIN what his boy Biden said. nobody fully trusts biden and refuses to relenetlessly mock him for warning of nuclear war. but doesnt do the same for me. he needs a straight jacket.

    nuclear war - doomsday⌛

I notice some here are grossly misinformed about what is going on so ill explain. If Moscow attacked and bombed Washington DC, the American people would demand that our government nuke Russia. That is plain and simple to understand. Well, the US has actually attacked and bombed Moscow this year. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65753825 Russia says Ukraine launched "a terrorist drone attack" on Moscow on Tuesday, with several buildings damaged. It is the first time Moscow has been so heavily targeted in a single operation, but Ukraine denies carrying out the strikes. Remember, war is not a courtroom. The Russian people and most of the Russian government are blaming the US for this attack, via proxy thru NATO and Ukraine. The Russian people are demanding the US get nuked in retaliation. Most in the government want to nuke. Putin is the guy saying no. Its just a matter of time. While some here want to focus on no nuclear war by the end of 2022 as I said, or no nuclear war YET, this is terrifying.

    Quarterback

it is. wether it happens in 2022 or 2023 is irrelevant. you clearly havent been paying attention. The russian people are demanding that the US is nuked. its only Putin holding it at bay at this point. do you realize that the US has attacked and bombed Moscow this year? They did it via proxy under the NATO flag under the Ukrainian flag, but the training, ammo and weapons came from the US. If Moscow attacked and bombed Washington DC, the American people would demand that the US nuke Russia and you would understand that sentiment. Its just that the reverse has happened and we bombed Moscow and the MSM wont report it.

    Threads - Twitter Killer

its liberals who used to view twitter as a liberal echo chamber built for them until Elon Musk bought it. They view Musk as not on the left so they think hes a nazi and want their own safe space again. Yahoo! Sports used to include a twitter feed link for every game but once Musk bought twitter, they removed the link LOL. The problem is that it is very hard to unseat an established product as people usually have the wrong opinions as to why a platform succeeds (and threads is already screwing up). If threads fails, I imagine liberals might try to just claim that twitter "spreads hate" and coerce its web host to seize the domain name or something.

    Threads - Twitter Killer

it might be now because its new, but the word is VERY easy to knock off the top search results compared to twitter.

The NBA is such a joke. Traveling is outrageous.

i remember in one basketball game i took a leap from just inside the 3 point line, landed on one foot, then bended slightly at the knee to get spring-loaded and took a second huge leap for a layup. the bench went nuts because they didnt think it was possible. they were like "you looked like jordan on that play!" i see a lot of athletes fail to properly bend the knee to spring load and make huge plays. i learned that technique by running across a rocky beach as a kid. i had to hop from one huge rock to another quickly and the only agile method was knee bending.

    Quarterback

im just saying, it doesnt matter. his legs will go at age 30. at age 35, it takes longer to recover from injuries. Mahomes is 27, he doesnt have to worry about all of that yet.

    Quarterback

that was actually analyzed like 20 years ago on FBGs and it turns out that all athletes break down at about the same age. no amount of training, regimen, rest nor mileage seems to alter it. sure, there is a beneit to being stronger and having more stamina. brady lasted so long because he releases the ball so fast so its practically flag football for him.

    Threads - Twitter Killer

people are saying threads is DOA: 1. it only has 100mm users because facebook makes it super easy to sign up by the click of a button to its users. but that doesnt guarantee people will stay. 2. threads is a dumb name because its not unique such that if you google it, its not guaranteed to pop up at the top of the search. 3. twitter allows pron and threads does not. tumblr literally died the second it banned pron. 4. threads isnt available in the EU due to privacy concerns. 5. twitter shares a portion of its ad revenue and threads does not. that makes twtter a revenue stream and threads is just a microblog site.
