The Russian Grain Deal:
Russia allowed Ukraine to ship grain out of its Odessa port on the Black Sea to help feed hungry areas of the world during the Special Militfary Operation. However, it is rumored that Ukraine has been using the grain deal to sneak in huge shipments of weapons and ammo. Putin wants to break the deal but if he does, then he gets accused of being untrustworthy and starving the poor in the world.
So yesterday we had Zelensky visit Edrogan in Turkey, the leader of the nation. He received several Ukrainian prisoners (of the Azov battalion) and brought them home, when it had been agreed to keep them in Turkey at least until war's end. The grain shipments go thru Turkish ports. So what we are likely to see in July is Putin breaking the grain deal because the Azov prisoners got released as that provides him political cover, which means shipments of fresh weapons and ammo will dry up really fast for Ukraine.
Its possible Edrogan released those prisoners to help Putin and Russia by giving him such cover. Hard to say.
Edrogan has been working with both Zelensky and Putin during the war, but wants to broker a peace deal. shutting off the spigot of weapons and ammo to Ukraine may push Ukraine to sue for peace.
