its really about assets vs liabilities. a simple calculation. the US fiat currency works because the total value of the US is several quadrillion dollars and the debts we are incurring are such a tiny fraction of that debt that it is irrelevant. The debt is $33 trillion but that is actually peanuts. If the US got into any financial trouble, it could nationalize a part of one of its oil fields and sell it to cover the $33 trillion. Or even better, issue bonds backed by part of the oil field to pay it off. Now, if the government ran the debt up into the quadrillions, THEN youve got problems. And with democrats in charge, maybe they do. but were fine right now.

gas prices have a pattern where they rocket higher in a few days and then slowly fall over a period of weeks. Ive seen that happen for decades. Most recently, gas prices jumped about 75 cents in 3 days in Santa Barbara. Now they are very slowly falling. every 3-4 days they drop 3-4 pennies. That allows both politicians and sycophants like Tim Schoschet to claim that "gas prices are falling" and 90% of the time be correct on a daily basis, even though on a longer term basis the public is getting reamed with higher prices.

in some circles, people have been worried about the nuclear bombers the US has on constant patrol. The running theory on those is that in case of a nuclear attack, the US will detonate a nukes fired from those bombers in the skies above the US to act as an EMP to destroy incoming missiles. The US would still suffer massive damage and radiation, but the damage might be less overall. Unless of course the bombers run out of nukes and Russia just keeps firing. And it doesnt factor in any nukes that have been smuggled across the wide open southern border that dont have to be fired at all.
