TNF Discussion: Bills at Dolphins - Wk2
RareN64Dream replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Ray Davis for Bills got some action in the game. He has 17 yards rushing on 3 carries and -1 yard receiving on 1 catch. Looks like Shakir made another big play too and there was penalty for unnecessary roughness on former Bills player, Jordan Poyer on that play. I missed that one a bit. -

Ty Johnson makes a huge catch from Josh Allen to bring it to the one yard line; while be guarded by Jalen Ramsey. James Cook scores his 2nd TD of the game with TD run. -

Bass makes a Bills FG from I think it was 43 yards away; after a missed throw to RB- Ty Johnson. Josh Allen had scramble for a couple yards on a play. Shakir, I believe; got a 3rd down catch on an accurate throw by Allen too. Score is 10 to 7. -

Achane answers back with receiving TD of his own and he got a couple carries. Waddle had nice slant catch that got Dolphins to the 1 yard line too. -
I am hoping Jaylen Wright, Dolphins RB and Ray Davis, Bills RB do well. I checked out some YouTube about Wright and could see him doing well tonight vs the Bills. I decided to bench Bucky Irving; even though he had a pretty solid game stats wise I see for the Buccaneers in Week 1 for a rookie RB. Hoping holding onto Nick Chubb in 2 leagues and Johnathan Brooks is a good idea. I should be okay waiting; until they get healthy enough to play football again in a live game. (Brooks is a rookie though)

I can most likely get him back by dropping Ray Davis or Jaylen Wright. Or even dropping Bucky Irving for him; although I just dropped Blake Corum for him. I only spent $1 each on my 2 pick ups and I have $98 left to spend for free agents. My other move was dropping Vikings WR Triston "Lucky" Jackson for Vikings WR Jordan Addison. I thought Jackson would get some playing time and passes to him Week 1, after performing well in the pre-season. But, he did not play Week 1. Might be tough deciding to start Tee Higgins, Bengals or Jordan Addison, Vikings. I hope to see what the injury reports are earlier, than later. Other league I might randomly start Bo Nix over Trevor Lawrence on a whim for fun, kind of.

So, I ended up dropping Blake Corum and picked up Bucky Irving, RB, Buccaneers. I think, I will start Irving or Wright; I have Davis in another league also, I think I have to start Ray Davis in that one because Nick Chubb and Jonathan Brooks are injured currently.
-
I have to start Wright, Blake Corum or Ray Davis at my RB 2 spot. Or I could drop one for another RB, before Thursday. I think, I am definitely going to see what Wright can do before giving up on him for a roster spot; after the other Dolphin RB injuries. Any advice is appreciated.

Ja'Marr Chase & Tee Higgins playing Week 1? "We'll See"
RareN64Dream replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
I had to choose between Higgins and "Lucky" Jackson for Vikings. I got screwed today for my WR 2 or 3 slot, basically because both are out. Oh well, maybe I still get a win. Should have planned my budget better in that Auction league. -
Treylon Burks is still pretty young; he is age 24. Tyler Boyd is age 29. Both on Titans. I think, Burton is pretty young also; around Burks age. I probably would pick Boyd out of those 3.

I know the Giants are going to suck but....

Vikings signed a back up also. Brett Rypein. I think, Nick Mullens is the 2nd on the depth chart and Sam Darnold is starter. -
Sorry for the slow response. Rams plays Lions and Bills play the Cardinals. I didn't end up with best RB depth in that keeper league.
-
Blake Corum is on the Rams. Kenneth Walker is on the Seahawks. I have to decide whether to start Corum or Ray Davis, Bills for Week 1 in one of my money leagues. My other RB is Jahmyr Gibbs.

Puka Nacua "week to week" with knee injury
RareN64Dream replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Reminds me of the Christian McCaffrey injury. Probably, just thing to get them more amped for the regular season. They might be wanting to catch up on a movie or TV show; idk. -
I have to give up a 8th round selection to keep Addison. We can start 3 WR/TE. I think, 8th round is worth the gamble. Addison did pretty dang good last year.
-
What happens if JJ McCarthy doesn't sign a contract before Week 1? Dallas Turner hasn't signed either; the linebacker/DE type of player they drafted also from Alabama. I have to decide by August 1st; if I want to keep Jordan Addison in a fantasy keeper league. I think, I will keep him.
-
The Texans defense seems a bit improved. I could see Joe Mixon being the best player to own on the roster for value in fantasy; while CJ Stroud being solid also.
-
Depending on what RB are going to be available. I think you could, probably; find better RB than Gus Edwards and Devin Singletary. I would rather have Josh Jacobs be my RB #2; than RB #1. Trading McCaffrey seems like a good idea to me, if possible. Keeping him will affect your depth talent overall IMO. But, obviously Christian McCaffrey is a good RB to have also; but is he worth that $37 price tag in a $100 auction?? That would be nice, if you ended up getting Edwards and Singletary for $1 in the draft; thus saving you $8, if you still want them.
-
Also, Gus Edwards for $7 could work out well too; I would maybe snag JK Dobbins as #3 or #4 RB, if you keep Edwards for insurance.
-
If you keep Goff for $4, Jacobs for $13, AJ Brown for $17, Jaylen Waddle for $14 and Drake London for $15; that is $63 spent, I believe. Not a bad team, on paper that those prices and you could keep Singletary, also for $3, if you want. Up to you; you are right McCaffrey and I also think Drake London are the crucial decisions. I would keep Goff for sure, in my opinion.
-
Wouldn't Singletary go for like $1 or $2? I would definitely keep Josh Jacobs for $13, IMO. Good luck!

My money leagues the TE count as WR. We have 3 WR spots for WR/TE. It is very competitive, I like that the TE/K/D/ST positions aren't over powered. The leagues are balanced and it is .5 points per receptions. It was 1 point per reception; but that was making the WR/TE position too hard to predict. Those leagues also start 2 QB per team. I will check my scoring rules before the drafts again; because it is good to be aware of the rules.

White Wonder comment makes sense. I think, Brown might surprise a few people this season. Rice is dealing with the off-field issues; trying to do charity stuff to save face. I wonder if he gets suspended for half the season? I think, if Rice doesn't get suspended for some games; that is a slap in the face to other players who got worse punishment for other crimes. Just my 2 cents. I see your ending comment too Weepaws. That is the uncertainty I was also helping explain. Yes, Brown has had issues catching the ball also.

Good post, I did not know about Vidal that much. I gotta look at who got taken in the NFL draft again.
-
I would try to get Gus Edwards and Dobbins on same team; if you are going to take either of them. That is what I did in a free league for fun.
