In my league (full point PPR, start 3 receivers, 2 RB's, no flex) someone offered me DeAndre Swift and Jakobi Meyers for Chris Olave. My other receivers are CeeDee Lamb, Puka Nacua, DJ Moore, and Troy Franklin. My other running backs are: James Cook, Kimani Vidal, Chuba Hubbard, Isiah Pacheco. I'm leaning towards thinking I accept the trade because it feels like Olave's value will drop with Shough at QB. He only had 4 targets this week but that could also be a tough defense. The schedule isn't great for points for wide receivers either. It feels close to me. What would you do?

I mean...I assume Strike would just find new inane things to say

Real Tim is always Pollyannish....should be his name on here

1.) Where, oh where, is @RLLD to tell us how the Dems are the only ones who would lie about the economy. I'm sure the situations here (R) different. 2.) Also, the polls continue to be skewed in ways that are strange because the perception continues to be different than reality.

It will just lead to Trump and MAGA land switching the argument to "See- the whole system is against Trump, and you by extension."

I have a tight end I don't need so it's not a major issue

I think the only thing you can take from the results last night is that there is a lot of palpable anger out there directed at Trump and his policies right now. Things are not better economically and with a government shut down and stuff being taken off the table you can see that up and down the ballot- statewide to local elections to school boards there was a push to the left or to remove Republicans all together. I don't think in politics anymore we can extrapolate anything further beyond that as every election cycle has its own beat and rhythm.

Probably, but that ship has long past sailed.

So it's just based in tin foil and scare tactics

That is some real tin foil hat stuff

He seemed to close a little better down the stretch. Sherrill had some bad performances and moments. Plus there are a lot of out of state political influencers who are pouring money into that race and time and trying to sway it.

I'd almost be willing to bet money that Citarelli wins in New Jersey

“We have no inflation,” President Donald Trump said in his “60 Minutes” interview Sunday evening. “Our groceries are down.” Wonder where @RLLD is at to scold us on what Donald is saying

Heritage Foundation backs Tucker after backlash for Nick Fuentes interview

Gabby GIffords was like 8 years before that and I think that dude wasn't either side of the political aisle. -
He is easily the most ineffective Speaker of the House I've ever seen. Completely neutered, afraid to make a stand on anything, and just a puppet for Trump. Hell McCarthy had more spine than this and Pelosi had more balls. Worst part is- he knows he is playing a losing hand right now and he is not even trying to bluff his way into winning.

Let's talk ACA premium without government subsidies
Sean Mooney replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
Both sides of the aisle are going to feel some pressure when the premiums rise in the next couple days. Because then people will see the real cost of this- and health care affects way more people than SNAP -

100% this....Health insurance rates rely on as large a pool as possible and young people taking insurance and not using it. Take those two things out and you will see people get hammered by premiums. -
How will the SNAP or EBT November Crisis affect YOU?

This isn't an issue of- hey it's the Dems or it's the GOP. This is an issue of- two sides need to sit down and figure out a way to bridge the gap and get something done. The GOP said for a year now "This is a mandate to lead given to us." And we see how tenuous that is. The Democrats have one minor piece of leverage and they are using it and it will hurt people. Meanwhile- Rand Paul offers a bipartisan committee idea to work something out and it's met by crickets. Josh Hawley has an idea to pass a small thing that will keep funding SNAP. Schumer says present it for a vote and the Dems will vote for it. That is met by crickets from John Thune. On top of it we have Johnson, Thune, Schumer, Jefferies, etc all out there on social media pointing fingers at one another in echo chamber appealing bullshit. And the President's out there telling people about how he controls the Speaker and his big idea is blow up the filibuster which will just mean more of a breakdown of the checks and balances in the system. Stop thinking any of these people are on your side. They aren't. Across the board they care about themselves and staying in power. Every year it's the same thing- we get new people voted in, a bunch of idiots sit on the Internet and try to claim "My side is better than your side because...." It is what it has always been- meet the new boss, same as the old boss. -

It won't directly impact me but the smaller grocery store nearby that has actual butchers employed and has great meat selections for decent prices will be impacted and will most likely have to raise prices on things. Also, I really don't want to see people not have enough food to eat. -

Republicans introduce amendment so trump can get third term

2 things to me: 1) It's why I said "most" and not "all" 2) There are plenty of idiot progressives that lack intelligence- despite education level. I'm not saying I know what is best for them. I'm just saying they lack the ability to question things for themselves like they should. They just buy what Trump is selling part and parcel. -
And the House could be working on a new plan that might pass if they were in session. You are pathetic and it's silly you later say it is AOC holding everything up because they are scared of her.
-
The House has been closed down for a month. He also keeps telling them to stay home. He- much like Thune- are more concerned about being on Trump's good side than doing anything effective.
-
Mike Johnson comes off completely ineffective as speaker of the house. I don't think McCarthy would be in this mess.
