There are actually a lot of cases of cancer where people don't find out until it is in Stage 4. Sometimes it is just people overlooking symptoms, trying to explain it through other means, or some other reason for not getting it checked.

@RaiderHaters Revenge...best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sorry that you had to go through the suffering to find the issue. I'll echo your sentiment about colonoscopies...colon cancer is one cancer they have a pretty good idea as to how it starts and the process it takes and you can get it easily detected and eliminated. I have colon cancer in my family and have had a few colonoscopies. Prep sucks but I've had polyps removed so it has been worthwhile overall. -
Some people in this thread proving themselves to be huge piles of sh!t. Hopefully they can devise a plan for Biden's cancer and work towards getting rid of it.

This whole transgender thing needs to stop in this country.

To answer your questions in order: 1.) I'm not pushing anything and I don't have a side- knock that stupid sh!t off. 2.) I don't have an opinion one way or another on bathrooms and locker rooms. I also don't think men are pretending to be women just to get access to a women's locker room. 3.) I am not for surgery and chemicals for kids. I've said I don't think it should happen until 18 at the earliest. I've also said though that if a parent signs off on it for a kid so be it. Are you not for parental choice now? 4.) I don't push any propaganda in my classroom and have said numerous times I'm against the videos of those goofy teachers saying they talk about this stuff with elementary school students. It's a little more complicated at like high school and maybe middle school level but you can't just do it unilaterally. 5.) It is a small minority of the population. But it is more than .01%. 6.) I push back because it is insane how much head space this issue takes up for like 3 posters on here. And I push back when I see people trying to shame someone who is transgender. Look I don't get it, you clearly don't get it....but I'm not an azzhole telling these people they are mentally ill or that they don't matter in the grand scheme of things. To be very clear- I genuinely do not give a flying FOOK if someone chooses to be transgender, or anything else they do in their personal life that affects them and doesn't outwardly affect me. I think the world would be a better place if people would just mind their own god damned business. -
I was told we just need to incentivize them more and they will work better
-
It's a very pollyanna view you have. Incentives have a shelf life if anything. This will be like every other idea- less people to do more work. That never succeeds.

I'm sure

Let me guess- you are some bug business/corporation expert.

Nobody has argued since May 1st. Captain Obvious was saying some dumb things and ran off in the thread

I can count on one hand the number of conversations I've heard in my lifetime about transgender people. Here on the GC a new thread gets posted everyday. Touch grass people. -
LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs
Sean Mooney replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
They extended employee pricing on cars but said that will change by the end of the summer. They are also basically saying expect prices for certain vehicles to get higher. Most estimates are that it would take- conservatively- 2 years to get a new plant up and running or to reopen a shuttered plant. By that time we are talking almost summer of 2027 when we are into the early stages of campaign season for the 2028 presidential election and perhaps the landscape of politics is different after the 2026 mid terms. Why would any company be rushing to sink billions of dollars into a facility if they think things could change in the future? Instead they can just say "Oh well we have 3,000 in tariff charges- we will just raise the price of the vehicle 5,000 dollars." -
Maybe you just have a "reading compression" problem?
-
There won't be incentives. It will just be- keep doing your job the same way as before. You've never worked for big business clearly.

Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas did a survey. For this month’s survey, Texas business executives were asked supplemental questions on the impact of tariffs. Results below include responses from participants of all three surveys: Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey, Texas Service Sector Outlook Survey and Texas Retail Outlook Survey. https://www.dallasfed.org/research/surveys/tbos/2025/2504q#tab-all

The DMV moves slow because there are never enough lines open and the computer systems are antiquated and slow. So let's cut people across all departments meaning now you have even less lines open and less people to work on the antiquated computer systems. Again- all they are doing is creating more work for less people which leads to burnout and a constant turnover of training people and people less inclined to do their job well because of being overworked.

No the difference between me and someone else (I won't presume you, but it could be you) is I don't root for them to fail. I don't root for any Presidents to fail because it would hurt the US regardless of whether I voted for them or not. Treating political parties like teams one roots for is childish. And yes I do know that- again- they took agencies specifically for certain things, cut those agencies down and/or rolled what they do into other agencies that they were also cutting down. So you have half the people doing twice the work. That never works. But yeah- maybe this will be the time it does.

They will be run inefficiently. If they didn't run efficiently with 100 employees, it isn't going to run better with 50.
