Exactly this- both things are true here. The economy was fine under Trump. It is really good under Biden. COVID messed things up in the middle there. But that doesn't bring the stupid tribalism.

Trump doesn't have to tell the truth. And really why should he bother? He can lie and sycophants slurp it up and spit it back online through the distortion machine and people buy it. Again- the reality of what is happening does not match what people believe is happening. I've mentioned this before but polls show people feel they are doing well in the economy but the economy is not doing well overall.

Where does DeSantis run in 2024 rank among the list of the all-time worst Presidential campaigns? Think of attempts like: Scott Walker in 2016 Gary Hart in 1988 Joe Lieberman in 2004 Rick Perry in 2012 Nelson Rockefeller- pick a year Howard Dean in 2004 Jeb Bush in 2016 Tim Pawlenty in 2016 DeSantis has to be pretty high- hell their big plan was to have people knocking on doors to drive votes in states- in 2024!

I'm questioning your obsession. I'm always honest about my opinions. I've said this before as well- I may disagree with you often on things but I always appreciate that you are at least thought out in your beliefs and can have a true back and forth as opposed to what the rest of the people who might align with you more politically believe passes for discourse.

You will never see me defending a person under the age of 18 getting gender reassignment, or life-altering, surgery. That's way too far for me. Now- if a parent decides to sign off on their kid getting that surgery at like 15..I disagree with it, but that is a personal decision they all made together. I have no problem with the LGBTQ+ spectrum of people. Different strokes for different folks. I don't get it all- but I don't need to. Obviously I'm against pedophilia but I'm also against this idea that "if you aren't as loud as me in your outrage you are for it." It's idiotic when LC does it. It's idiotic when liberals do it with racial issues. The world is not an either/or proposition and is full of nuance. Far more nuance than the Internet can provide and far more nuance than just going to X and scrolling for hours a day finding chopped up clips to be outraged over. And I'd hope we could all agree that saying "my greatest hope" is those kids committing suicide is many bridges too far.

You are "protecting kids"? Why are you not speaking out against someone hoping they commit suicide? I thought you were all for protecting them? Protecting kids by constantly discussing their sexual orientation online and implicitly agreeing they should commit suicide? Some hero you are.
