Google searches for "help with mortgage" passes 2008 housing crisis level.
Sean Mooney replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
It's still pretty common. I live in a rural area- over an hour from a major city- and it's 100% happening here. Most recently a house down the street was listed for 305K and it sold for 355K -
So she is part of the exploitation? The grift continues

To some degree it is people who are blinded by the numbers. A bank tells them "Well based off your numbers you can afford X." Of course that doesn't take into account they figure this out off gross income and not net. People don't think about money you will need after you move in right away. It's partially their own fault but it is a lending predatory thing that needs to be reined in a little as well. -

It is sad in every way. We bought our house over a decade ago. We refinanced our interest rate down during COVID to upgrade some things and have a house right now that is worth 2.5X what we paid for it. You hear young couples now and they are at 6 and 7% interest rates and having to go like 40-60K over the asking price in order to even have a sniff at a house. And the idea of "House goes on the market Monday, offers need to be in by Tuesday at 5 pm." The hell with that. -
Very nice speech by Erika Kirk. I know people are lighting up Twitter about the grace she showed but I mean- if you're Christian it is exactly what you should've expected her to say. She did a great job in what was obviously a tough moment- her husband's death being exploited by TPUSA and the current administration- not to mention the President who treated it like a photo opportunity and political rally. Now hopefully she is given some time to grieve peacefully before being trotted out there again at mid-terms to try and rally the troops while President Orange Crush says "Remember how they massacred my boy.."

Agree. That's just horrible to act like that.

Fine...you just made up BS points to refute. Feel better? You'll notice the specific things I objected to and countered. Please read again.

You are glossing over a lot of context and I think you know that
-
No...you said stupid ass things. That was the problem
-
Yeah you ignored the content to put your own ideas forward pretending like what happened in the real world didn't happen.

The shitty play is always said about Kaep and it just isn't true. The last year in the league he started 11 games and completed 59.2% of his passes and threw 16 touchdowns against 4 picks. The 2016 Niners team was a dumpster fire because they had screwed up the Harbaugh stuff. Brought in Tomsula for a year and that went horribly, and then brought in Chip Kelly and their defense- under Jim O'Neil- was atrocious.....They average giving up 30 points a game which was almost a touchdown more than the previous year and 10 points more than the final year of Harbaugh I outlined all the Dixie Chicks stuff and I believe you ignored all the content of it because you didn't want to confront reality.

This is the big thing. People should not want this in any way whatsoever.

So you have no answer and resort to name calling? Mature.

Okay.. How does that play into the Jimmy Kimmel story? Also, the waiver process (for better or worse) was defended by citing previous waivers given by Ajit Pai which the Supreme Court upheld. I guess your problem is him....or maybe the guy who appointed him. But either way- none of that is related to anything I've said on the Kimmel story.

Did Maximum Tranny peenie his thread about the furry game?

It's obvious with a lot of the usual suspects. -

Because it's not like people change their posting style. -
So as I assumed there is a lot more to the Kimmel clip from the other day than what was reacted to. I read the comment he made and wondered what the punchline was and saw that portion printed everywhere. However, it was really just an awkward set up to a series of jokes- a few of which were more funny than unfunny. So basically what we have is the MAGA mooks doing exactly what they have cried about for years with cancel culture. I would also argue the full context of everything makes the clip play way differently and highlights exactly how out of context the one comment was used.

As I said "Not that it changes anything" But it would point out some true sadness in people that they'd have to find a work around an IP ban to keep posting here -
I've said a few times here- the way he edited together videos and everything was more just setting up boogeymen to argue against to keep his grift going. The presentation was the problem more often than not. But yes he did say some insane things that were clearly meant to be divisive and appeal to a certain segment of people.

Yup....and when League Champion gets blocked I'm sure Blue Horseshoe returns. Not that it changes anything but the mods need to look into IP banning. -
I've always been on the "all politicians are azzholes" team. I've said stuff about people on the left. It gets lost the in the sea here. But either way- just cause someone is left of MAGA doesn't mean they are on the left.

You guys are so weird with the "your team" stuff. I don't have a team. If you are sitting here and think all Republicans are good and all Democrats are bad (or vice versa) based off some belief of a political alliance.....you are dopey and should have your right to vote revoked. Some Republican ideas are good. Some Democrat ideas are good. Some Republican ideas are bad. Some Democrat ideas are bad. Biden was an imperfect President. Trump is an imperfect President. It's just amusing to me that people were freaking out over fires and window breaking (which obviouslyr- is idiotic to do, and destructive and is not a viable means of dissent in any society) and were saying "That is someone's livelihood." But when the Vice President says "If you see someone saying something bad about Kirk's murder than report them and get them fired" and there isn't a single peep. The VP of the US called for citizens to take away someone's livelihood because they thought Charlie Kirk might not be a saint (and he wasn't) But you get to play "team" on a fantasy football message board. Grow the fook up

They are just freaking out over comments on the Internet and being encouraged to cost people their jobs for things they said. Perfectly normal behavior but as long as they didn't break a window I guess.
-
It will be fun when MAGA eliminates everyone and then they turn on one another.

I don't have a team. This is all bad. Government should stay out of this stuff. Maybe no Kimmel will fix high prices though? I don't know
