The lie is that despite someone with firsthand knowledge telling you that you are wrong- you continue on with this BS argument

Stop lying dude. As to the 40 million- yes...there are a lot of people who qualify for SNAP benefits because they are so far below the poverty line. And yes, even some households with people working are well below that line. Say a 50 year old lives alone and is working for a fast food place at 10 dollars an hour. 40 hours a week would put them at 1600 a month.....they qualify even with having a job.

The bolded is why I think there is a like 25% chance it happens. Who in the Republican party has the balls to stand up to him and his machine? You'd need a coalition of politicians on both sides who would step up and I don't know if there are enough Republicans willing to stand up to him- mainly because they know they usually lose when Trump isn't on the ballot.

Thing is he is disintegrating everyone's brains. The people who support him are having expectations reset without them knowing it. Also, I mean it's funny like to point out how "Trump is destroying people's brains" are the same people who for 4 years constantly told us that Biden was destroying everything great about the country even though he was wearing diapers and being force fed food. People are stupid and speak in hyperboles too much.

I don't care about the ballroom. We knew he would do something like this and it isn't worth getting upset over. To a large part of the country they will overly care. To a large part of the country nothing Trump does is ever wrong so they will love it. I'm in the part of the country that just says "Do something important to help people."

I'm shocked- SHOCKED I TELLS YA- that this "peace deal" doesn't seem to be working out. Yes I know people will say "What did Biden do?" Well he had the same deal in place that got dumped on. Yes I know people will say "At least Trump is trying..." Well that area doesn't want peace. They thrive on war. The hell with them all over there. Stop wasting our money and resources to help them.

What will Trump have to do before the dyed-in-the-wool supporters turn on him? At this point I'm pretty sure Trump could be balls deep in Raiders significant other and Raiders would be in the corner jacking off saying "Yeah, wear this Tim Pool hat while you drill her Mr. President."

EternalShiny survived the rally day. He stayed in his basement....and to be safe he is staying there for a few more weeks.

There were about 2700 different rallies planned across the US on Saturday. Obviously some in big cities and some in smaller towns (the next town over had one and in the specific area there are 3000 people with another 10-12,000 in the various surrounding towns that comprise the district). If there were 2700 rallies that means each one would need just shy of 2600 participants in order to reach 7 million. Now obviously the smaller towns probably weren't pulling 2600 but I'd imagine the larger cities were pulling in well in excess of 2600 so it probably comes out somewhere in the wash. Additionally, they figure crowd sizes in large cities by assessing these many blocks, or this area, is covered and you can get approximately this many people in that area. Kind of the same way they figure out how many people are in Times Square on NYE and how many people are at a presidential inauguration. As has been said many times- myself included- none of this matters at all unless someone votes in November.

There is less than zero chance I would attend a rally like this. There is no point to it all. But conversely I won't starts threads about them either.

What will be amusing is that at many- if not all- of the No Kings protests there will be counter protests supporting Trump. But I guess they aren't losers with nothing better to do on the weekend.

I get it's America and people have the right to protest and all that. But the strongest protest you have as a citizen is voting. And I'd imagine there will be a large portion of people at the event this weekend that decided "Oh they screwed Bernie, so I can't vote for Hillary." Or thought, "Well Kamala doesn't support Hamas enough so I'm voting for Jill Stein" or some other such nonsense. These dummies reap what they sowed. No amount of "No Kings" protests 11 months after an election will change their past voting.

Eternal Shiny seems damaged by this silly event of protests. I imagine he will shelter in place in his basement all weekend. Why should this weekend be any different.
