What about the videos the White House is putting out? Do you think they are left or right leaning? -

I don't care if people are being deported regardless of the President. I do care as to how the deportation is being handled and if it is for show points as opposed to just being done. I don't need to see music videos of it, and hear about how much I'm supposed to love it. Just do it and let it be it. The way it is happening right now is turning family misery into laughs for your devotees. -

I mean TBF- they are being used as political pawns by Trump and MAGA right now too. -

I did say in the post just above this that you still need to go through boot camp and basic training and everything so it's not like physical requirements are completely done away with. -

Emerson College polling from March 11th has 48% of people disapproving of Trump's handling of the economy with 37% approving it. NBC polling has 54% disapproving and 44% approving of Trump's handling of the economy (the first time in any NBC poll he has had a majority disapproving of his economy handling) A Reuters/Ipsos poll from March 12th shows 57% of Americans (1 in 3 Republicans) says his policies are too unsteady on the economy/inflation/etc Quinnipac polling from 03/13 has 54% disapproving and 41% approving of his handling of the economy. -

I'd just scroll past his stuff. It's good for your health. Also he's a huge hypocrite because we uncovered he is okay with pedophiles as long as they are MAGA. -

It wasn't Raiders I was responding to. We may rarely ever agree but he isn't a mental midget like the person who desperately tries to get my attention multiple times a day on here -

Clearly posting addresses is not okay. Back when the Bud Light stuff was going on it wasn't okay either for people to get harrassed as they were leaving stores with Bud Light. Too many people are sucked into this political war nonsense and think we have to drive the other person into the ground. I don't care for Elon Musk, but I don't care if someone buys a Tesla. I've driven a Tesla- it's fine. There is no need to shoot it or throw Molotov cocktails at it People shouldn't be harrassed for buying a beer from a company that supported a LGBTQ person. Drinking Bud Light is its own punishment. -

I believe the military very greatly tries to keep distinctions between combat and non combat positions. And if any of those scenarios arise I think we can easily find a nearby high school or drunk Randy Quaid to recruit from. In a non-combat you still have to get through boot camp and you have to maintain some form of physical fitness and do some weapons training. But I don't think you continually train on it if you are going into something considered non-combat. -

Stop trying to argue it was just not buying a product. -

Both were protests that were influenced by outside forces. One was more behind the scenes targeted. One is far more out in the open. I get why people think the latter is more egregious and have said I don't agree with the way it is being handled. But I'm not going to agree with handwaving away the other as "Just not buying a product." -

People were harrassed and targeted for buying the beer in some locations. Moreso than that though there was a calculated monetary effort by an individual and two organizations to fundamentally attack the infrastructure of Bud Light (and other companies) for "woke" policies. It was designed to hurt the company which in turn hurt sales and the workforce. Now I know the bigger optics of fires are bad. I said as much that I am 100% not for lighting fires of vehicles or shooting guns at them in public. But I'm also against targeted manipulation of people against companies by rich people. both attacks are organized. One is more obvious to the senses and thus will always look worse. -

Even still it was a little more than just "We stopped buying the beer." There are always idiots who will try to escalate something to violence. Those people should have their heads examined. -

There were bomb threats against breweries. There was a ton of violence threatened against the company and the individual at the center of it all. Kid Rock put up videos firing guns at cases of Bud Light... I mean- all of this (Bud Light and Tesla) stuff is just people being ignorant. -

.2-.5% of the military are transgender at this point. So like 6600 people tops. -

I'm not saying you are doing this but I think we need to make an important distinction between some things here- because people can enlist in the military in non-combat positions. If some SHIM with blue hair wants to enlist in the military to be in linguistics who could possibly care that much? It's an important position and it's non-combat. -

You should be able to see then pretty clear there is no real semblance of a plan here on anything. We are talking billions of dollars that go through these places and that is not easily just moved from one place to another. And AI isn't the answer Was the post office your govt sector work? -

Long as you are consistent. Of course there is bloat in everything and I'm okay with finding it. I'm not okay with just hatcheting everything and trying to fix the broken pieces afterwards. I'd be far more receptive to an approach that cleanly audits and looks at everything. This feels like trying to do things quickly rather than effectively. If you did things in a more controlled and deliberate manner it would allow you to set up the infrastructure to adjust to the changes and figure out where things will go. I'm afraid we are going to end up with all these cuts and then trying to see where things can fit and you are going to end up with under staffed, over worked departments trying to do too much which will lead to inefficiencies. And those inefficiencies will harm people short and long term. The education component you list as debatable is where I have an issue with some of this stuff. People don't know what the DOE does (and I'm not being accusatory towards you here in any way) and not in a "They are useless and do nothing" way but rather in a "I literally know nothing about them other than what I'm told." They hear it's tanking test scores. They hear it's indoctrinating kids and they will say "Good now the states can set policy." The states already do that. The local districts already do that. There is an individual set of standards for every state in the country and there are different qualifications for teachers in states all across the country. The federal government doesn't set instructional policy. They try to make sure federal funding helps balance out states funding (because there is less state money in Mississippi than New York). And even that number is small- like 10-11% of school funding comes from the federal level. The DOE does help fund programs for students, and families, that need extra help. Title 1 programs are run through there. The REAP program is run through there. It does hold schools accountable for students succeeding but even that is filtered through state reporting. Without the federal government though you will have different programs for every state. And then there is the information Trump is flat out lying about to make points.
