So there is some interesting stuff in the verdict and the case. As I said earlier- McCormick was for counting these types of ballots in 2022 when it possibly benefitted him. He is against it now. The Democrat election officials pushed forward in this case because of what they said was in line with the state constitution's free and equal elections clause. Essentially they were trying to push the court to rule on that aspect of it. When the court struck this down (which is the right move by letter of the law) they purposely kicked the can down the road on the potential merits of that challenge, instead ruling it was too close to the election to change or determine it or change the rules. This is also an issue that has been argued for a while now in the past few election cycles and everything. Basically, the PA Supreme Court said "Get back to us in a year if need be."

I will say this for the brief time he has known he is going to be President. He is saying all the right things about working across the aisle. It does feel somewhat like he has a sense of he has a moment to actually do something and leave a better legacy than the first time. Now if it still looks like that 18 months from now who knows....

If he does, good.....I'm not going to be upset. If he doesn't.....you will still say he did. He could take a dump in a box, throw a Hungry Man label on it and you'd still eat it.

There is a lot of fan fiction in this. Also, you ignore that the people you mention are owned or platformed by major companies. Spotify has its own narrative vision even while platforming voices across the spectrum. Vivent Media has its own narrative vision. Tenet Media had a narrative vision. Every company has a narrative vision. They just want you to believe that their vision is better than the other guy's vision. But they still have a vision. You are marching to a different evil place.

Well using the weekend ratings for a show (that I believe is called Morning Joe Weekend but does not have the main cast on- perhaps they play some segments from the week) that is on 5 days a week is really kind of selective posturing. Nielsen has Morning Joe at 1.14 million viewers for the most recent full TV quarter which ran from July through September. Explained what 1000 times? Look every media company and every person in media has an agenda- whether they agree with your point of view or not.

It's also going to cost a lot of money- at the very least initially in reconfiguring machinery and processes. I don't know for certain- but I would imagine they have separate machinery for producing items for other countries.

Are you talking independent as far as content or independent as far as self funded? Cause a lot of those people you mention have some big money and big companies behind them providing a platform and infrastructure.

Couldn't find the media thread- don't care. Joe and Mika sat down with Trump to talk with him about his second term and basically said this morning "We need to reset and cover his second Presidency in a different way." To say people are against this is an understatement. I think it's hilarious the reaction to it all. Like whatever the reason they are saying we need to be fair about this...that's the goal right?

Fun Fact- in 2022 McCormick lost the Republican nomination to Dr. Oz and there was a lot of talk of these exact type of ballots. Republicans complained they were illegal but McCormick argued that they should be counted because you should "Let people vote and not play gotcha games with them." And now in 2024- McCormick argues "No you can't count them."
