Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

I would argue again there are some differences in appointing a public printer versus the Secretary of Defense. -
Trump picks Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his Department of Health and Human Services secretary

Who says exercise makes you right wing? They are dumb if they say that. By the same token of your argument- anyone who says "we should drink raw milk" is not living a healthy lifestyle and should not be advising me to do anything. -

1.) There have been studies. There is no conclusive link. Also, 5G networks use non-ionizing radiation- the same thing emitted by FM radio. Also, non-ionizing radiation doesn't damage DNA- they know this because they know they know ionizing radiation does. They know that- because of the sun. They continue to do studies and they still find no causal links. 2.) Most school shooters are not treated with psychotropic medications- https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31513302/ 3.) microplastics are not a singular chemical. It is far more complex an issue than what is presented as a simple problem/simple solution. This is the one he is less wrong about- but he is still doing a lot of connecting dots to make an argument. There is no study or data that shows a causal link. (I mean it really calls back to the ideas of- don't heat things in plastic in the microwave.) 4.) “They were doing phony, crooked studies to develop a cure that killed people without really being able to understand what HIV was, and pumping up fear about it constantly, not really understanding whether it was causing AIDS,”....this is because in 2008 they awarded a Nobel prize to the people who found the connection between the two. 5.) I'll add another claim I missed earlier- he says there is a public war on raw milk.....Yes- because raw milk is not safe to drink. -

Literally has nothing to do with their qualifications as to doing the job -

You make a bunch of claims here that just further my point. You want to judge someone on ideological differences and not qualifications. I can't help you with that because I disagree in that respect that it is an accurate measure of a person. -

Its amusing you position the argument as this. You aren't looking at the job done- you are looking at the fact they were a man and now a woman and saying that makes them bad at the job. Levine had pretty good support in PA. Signed an order which allowed officers to carry Narcan. Was unanimously confirmed as Secretary of Health by the PA State Senate. Did well in fighting COVID in PA but then got appointed to the position in the cabinet and it became about so much more than just how they had pretty capably done their job up to that point. -

What about Yellen made her unqualified other than you disagree with her? People need to stop confusing ideological differences with lack of qualifications. Yellen was on the council of economic advisors under Clinton. She was the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She was on Federal Reserve Board of Governors. She was vice chair of the federal reserve and then eventually chair of the federal reserve. She also taught economics for years at various institutions and got her PHD in economics. Buttigeg you can make a stronger case for (and his appointment wasn't universally loved either) RFK Jr has no credibility for Director of HHS. Gaetz has no credibility for attorney general. Hegseth is a decorated war veteran but doesn't necessarily have the strategic experience for the position. -

Trump could ask utilit99 to suck a fart out of his azz and he'd approve that too. So take his approvals with all the salt. Well if he hasn't used it all to flavor that fart he eat. -

What do you think the UFO announcement will be
Sean Mooney replied to JustinCharge's topic in The Geek Club
The movie is great. John Carpenter directed and is a takedown of the excesses, commercialism, and Reaganomics dominated policies of the 1980's. It features some great music, lines, and a great fight scene. -

Hey if you are consistent that it's okay that Trump did it so it is okay if Obama did it. Also- how many people did Obama recess appointment to his cabinet? I mean you really want to compare recess appointing someone as "Public Printer" to appointing someone as Director of Health and Human Services? -

Kennedy is an unserious person. Just a few of his greatest hits: - WiFi and 5G cause leaky brain and cancer - antidepressants lead to school shootings - chemicals in the water supply turn kids transgender - AIDS may not be caused by HIV -

There are still senators who don't have to worry about opposition in their state. Who are retiring soon. Who don't need to roll over for Trump. There are also a few who have gone against Trump before and will do it again. And the other sticking point might be- if you have a red senator in a blue state they've seen what happens when Trump tries to push through a more right candidate- that candidate gets run over. -

If they do go to recess appointments (not sure they will) it will be fun to watch a bunch of MAGA heads here think that is awesome even though if Biden tried to do that they'd be skyscreaming like crazy. And obviously vice versa -

Exactly...it's possible both statements are true, it's possible they are both false....but if one is false and one is true- it should call into question the other. -
Hey dumbass. I said it's unethical to take the kid to a concert. But he didn't rape him. Show credible evidence he did or slither back under the rock you crawled out from. Here- find someone to read you this story: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/10/18/how-an-x-account-pushed-an-unsubstantiated-tim-walz-abuse-allegation
-
I will add though that if he did he is probably HT's hero.....HT only wishes rape on kids- this guy would've actually done it.
-
He didn't. At least there is no credible evidence he did.

It sounds like Raiders is stalking Tim Pool. Or maybe he is Tim Pool? Seriously though- it is clear why Raiders likes him so much. Pool is an alt-right weirdo who positions himself as a disillusioned centrist who occasionally nods to left positions because it passes for authenticity. Sounds familiar to someone we know here who has a Drexel Dragons avatar. -
He told a bunch of parents who lost kids that no one died at Sandy Hook and it was all a giant hoax with actors. And he said all of it- stop lying It isn't being a bootlicker to tell them they can get fvcked. Do you have kids? If your kid was killed by a drunk driver and then some jerkoff was on the Internet saying "There was no one killed in that accident, it is all an accident made up..." you'd be cool with that?
-
It's not against the law to take a student to a concert with you. It's most likely unethical, I'd imagine it is questionable through the code of procedures there teachers have, and I certainly wouldn't do it but it's not breaking the law.
