On the first one just an overall feeling based off what I'm seeing in the state. On the second one- PA does not start counting ballots until the day of which essentially means they are running two polling stations at once and if the final total is within like .5% they automatically recount. There will almost assuredly be a recount requested by one side unless the numbers are so out of reach- but considering the last two differences have been 44K and 71K- I can't see that being an issue

We could just make Election Day a national holiday and give everyone the day off which would give people more time to vote that day.

It's also unknown from the table how many of those people are new voters versus the same old voters. For example, in 2020 there were ~3.4 million votes cast for Trump in PA. At this point 352,000 votes cast. In 2024 we are at 447,000 but are those all new voters or are some of them people who would've cast their vote normally at the polls but decided this year to do it ahead of time? That's harder to measure out.

I think with Trump on a lot of this stuff that he either doesn't understand why the fence is there or, more insidiously, doesn't care why the fence was created in the first place.

Would he support a "coup" of the overall country? Of course not. I think at some point- again in a hypothetical scenario where a coup was the plan- I think RFK's familial history would pull him away from that. But in trying to overtake and overhaul the FDA (which I do think is likely and more problematic) he would essentially ripping at a pillar of the US as an attack dog for Trump either knowingly or unknowingly. And again let me be clear to what I've said numerous times. I don't think Trump is the fundamental end of democracy. I do think his plan would kick at some of the foundational pillars of the country which could adversely affect democracy. Even if I don't believe that is his ultimate goal.

If Trump wanted to create a coup of some kind (which I don't think he does) you would still need people on your side. If someone said you could be given a political position and be basically unchecked- which Trump has basically said- you can understand why people would be drawn to that. They may not need Trump but to be the head of the stuff RFK wants to be- Trump is the gateway to that potentially.

What percentage of people do you think: 1.) defend abortion 2.) support surgery/chemicals for children to change their gender 3.) want to shoot everyone who doesn't agree with 1 and 2

There is a world of difference between getting heat from one side because of accurately depicting the words and actions of a person versus getting heat from one side for refusing to stand behind your assertions about the words and actions of a person. One is journalism, one is cowardly.

Kamala is up 2% points from 49 to 51% as Trump stays flat at 47% in the new ABC/Ipsos poll of likely voters. Notable in this poll is that Trump has lost support from 2020 to now in a few categories- notably: white women, people older than 65, and white men with college degrees. He has gained support in: non college graduates, and men 18-39. Harris is up from Biden in: black men, black women, college grads, and women 18-39. She has lost support from Biden in: hispanic women, ages 18-29, and independents. All that tells me is it will lead to a situation of Kamala winning the popular vote- probably by about 4 million votes but losing the electoral college when Pennsylvania flips to Trump. I'd still put Trump at like 285 electoral votes.
