The simplest explanation is that a soft credit pull doesn't harm your credit score (you checking your credit score through something like Equifax is a soft pull. It's just information gathering) A hard credit pull is one that will slightly. If you go buy a new car and get a loan they will do a hard credit pull to make sure you can handle it. The credit score drops a little because it signifies that you are actively seeking new credit.

I'm not going to pretend I've watched more than maybe 1 full episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live in my life. But I will say this (and I apologize for the lengthiness of the post)- which is something I've said many times other places. It's 11:30 at night. People have been following news all day long and either getting pissed at what's happening or passing out from celebrating too much. The goal at 11:30 should be tell a few easy dumb jokes, do a skit or two, interview the star of the new movie coming out, interview the second lead in the new series Law & Order: Milwaukee, throw to a musical act, say good night and be gone. A plurality, or maybe even majority, of Americans don't want political commentary that late at night. Same as most people in my age bracket- if you watched any late night at all- I was a regular watcher of Conan. It was exactly this format- a dance, some dumb jokes, a rubber dog puppet roasting people, two interviews, music guest- gone. Even when Conan waded into political jokes it was through the medium of fake lips moving on a still picture of Bill Clinton. That format is the format that is successful and is non confrontational in nature. Over reliance on political stuff is why I never watched Colbert and why I very sparingly watched Kimmel. Even with this latest stuff I read the comments from Kimmel and I'm hoping there is stuff missing because what he said- isn't a joke. I don't even believe it is a set up to a joke. And if I'm tuning in to watch- I'm not looking for political commentary from the guy who used to end his last show with girls on trampolines. All that being said- this is 100% government overreach and them pressuring companies to make changes. When the head of the FCC goes on a talk show and basically says "You deal with this or we pull your license..." that is unacceptable. And it's everything that the MAGA mooks complained that the Biden organization was doing in all the stories they made up in their heads. This isn't a made up story- this is a reality. Sure it will be funny when it swings back the other way and MAGAs are crying....but it shouldn't get to that, and it shouldn't be like that. For Kimmel- the worst thing he did here was show an amazing inability to read the room in this situation. You see Colbert get fired. You see all the media corporations kowtowing to Trump's every demand so their pockets can be lined with mergers. You see all the fall out from Kirk's murder for almost 4 full days and how people were losing jobs and even the Vice President was encouraging people to rat on others at their jobs if they saw someone saying anything short of treating Kirk like a saint. Not to mention you put out a statement on Instagram that was perfectly fine in how it was worded and asked for decency from people. And then you do that on Monday night? That's just dumb. Even with me thinking the government is over stepping it's boundaries here there is also an element of "How many times did you think you could poke the bear before he bit back?"

Well said....this is entirely government influence and overreach and no one should be okay with this regardless of their political leanings.

I thought Tyler Robinson shot the messenger? More seriously- the thing with Kirk's comments are: whether you find him "hateful" or not is going to depend on your starting point in a lot of cases. For me, his stuff is murky because he used the Bible as a weapon and he edited videos together in a way to make him come off superior to the people he was debating as a means of building a portfolio for himself. In many cases he was debating a hysterical 20 year old weirdo so he was going to seem normal and rational based off how the opposition was portrayed (either by their own accord or how they were presented).

I mistakenly omitted the part that the left has opened up the idea of martyrdom as it pertains to Kirk and will create some more people falling to his side.

The Kirk murder will affect both political sides- it will be used to demonize the left and trans people further. But on the far right it will lead to deeper distrust of government and more money for the grifters.

I have played plenty of football in my life. I know quite a bit about it. You are adding tons of things to the discussion that have nothing to do with anything related to this- especially when I agreed the offensive line is offsides. And if the interior OL is getting a "split second" head start- that's a false start. So maybe it is you who knows nothing about football. The larger point is- the one thing you could possible argue is that by the center being able to line up ahead of the ball it gives them a little extra leverage pushing forward. But even that can be negated depending on how strong the push is the defensive line gets.

The bill was written in 2013 and had floors built into it so if the price stayed above a certain floor it would go up. That triggered in 2023 . But again- it was written in a way so it baked into transportation infrastructure....so you could get rid of it but it would require figuring out how to gain back- on average- 65 cents a gallon on gas/diesel.

I don't disagree. I mentioned before here about PA and how their gas prices are high because Republicans raised gas taxes years ago and then baked those taxes into funding formulas so it was impossible to repeal them without messing up funding for other things. I was told it was ONLY Biden's policies doing it. The play's success doesn't hinge on 4 inches. The play;'s success is more based on the rule change 20 years ago to allow people to push the ball carrier forward. Until you get rid of that the play will succeed far more than it fails. Weird post from you.

You asked for evidence so I gave it to you- including work to actually ban their music from stations....and your "counter" is they killed Charlie Kirk.
