I read scouts putting together worth of a player. I read stuff being said by scouts internally. I read stuff related to scouting at the combine. The majority of what was out there was that Sanders was at worst a late first round pick. Certainly nothing I really saw indicated he was a 5th round pick or anything like that. Also, I'm not saying that a mock draft sets a players value. But I know for guys like Jeremiah and PFF (unless you are going to say they aren't scouting either) they are also talking to people in draft rooms and while they might get smoke screened at times are building predictions based off what they are hearing. The day before the draft is when some stuff started coming out about Sanders having poor interviews and even then once he didn't go in round 1 there was still a ton of talk that he was going on Day 2. Stop making up things to argue against. Stop ignoring the questions you are being asked. And calm the hell down. I simply asked for you to provide insight into who you were seeing so I can make sure to add them to my reading rotation going forward. You've yet to do that.

Scouts don't watch film in addition to all the in person stuff they do? Also, with the amount of footage out there from broadcast to ALL-22 and everything. It is really easy to get a feel for the on-field play of the kids anymore. Again- you deflect from having a direct person to quote from. I've read national writers and executives and a lot of their stuff is after the fact comments now. We are talking about up to the draft talk. Who up to the point of the draft was saying he was really low on the prospect scale?

The best argument you can make against Sanders is that he was awful in that bowl game. Even still there a lot of people argued about whether it was the lack of having an offensive line or not. A huge knock on Deion as a recruiter is he focuses on the flashy skill positions and ignores the trenches.

I do read scouts too. Many of the main scouting websites- Draft Network, Walter Football, NFL Draft Buzz, The Beast handbook- had him as a late 1st round pick at worst. I haven't read Kiper in years. I rarely read McShay. Again- it's a simple question- who did you see that was specifically saying Sanders wasn't potentially a late first round pick? Even scouts grade out guys and you can tell from the scores where they see them.

The HT posting cycle: 1.) Get called on something 2.) Deny it 3.) Get shown evidence that disproves him 4.) Accuse person of being triggered and insult them and/or their manhood we are here 5.) Post some other nonsense trying to pretend like he is a better person than another poster 6.) Return to step 1

I did read them and many others. Again- the majority had him as a later first round pick at worst. Who specifically did you see that was saying otherwise? I want to know who I missed so I can add them to my rotation of reading at draft time next year. THEN NOW FOREVER. I don't even interact with him anymore and he still wants the smoke and loses.

Yes but no one predicted this.... Ian Rapoport did not report the Giants were considering Sanders when they traded up. CBS Sports definitely didn't predict the Giants would trade up to 32 to get Sanders. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2025-nfl-mock-draft-shedeur-sanders-taken-late-in-round-1-after-qb-needy-team-trades-up-to-get-him/amp/ I mean mock drafts from experts REGULARLY predict trades and trade ups and downs and everything... Never happened though...

"Nobody in the draft needed a QB from 22-32" "People can trade up" "Who predicts that" "Many pundits do actually.." "(ANGRY SCREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)"

They are on here under multiple accounts 24/7.....they've never been married. Or seen a woman naked in the real world. -
It's completely unheard of for people to trade back up into the first round after making an early pick. I mean the Giants certainly didn't do it this year. And it certainly didn't happen in 2024....or 2023.....or 2022....or 2021.....or pretty much every year.
-
I don't particularly care about Kiper's list. I'm saying the general consensus from pundits and scouts was a late first round pick at worst. Who are the "lot of scouts" you were seeing? Not saying you are wrong, just saying I'm interested in seeing who it was.

Do we really need more pages of people insisting Disney is broke in that other thread?

MHJ and Nabers were two different types of receivers. But even that said while the general thought was MHJ was better than Nabers it was super close to the point where you could make a case for one or the other depending what you had on your squad already. With the QBs this year I don't think any of them were slam dunks. For example- NFL Draft Buzz grades QBs out of 100. For the 2025 draft they had 0 quarterbacks at 90 or above. 2024- they had 3 (Williams, Daniels, Maye) 2023- they had 2 (Young and Stroud) 2022- they had 0 2021- they had 4 (Lawrence, Fields, Wilson, Lance) This year they had Ward at 89.4, Sanders at 88.1, Dart at 87, Ewers at 84.4, and Milroe at 84.3 Which of those 5 from this year are you hitching your wagon too as a GM and feeling good?

Who was saying he wasn't a first round guy? The worst I saw for a majority of pundits was a late first round pick.

As always with Trump it is just vendettas that guide him. Been that way forever, won't change -

The police have said they don't believe it was a targeted attack. If it ultimately is found it was- just execute that person. They serve no purpose -

I'm going to guess the toxicology report comes back with a high BAC. -
It definitely was Ward/sanders on a majority of the draft stuff I saw

The sheer number of draft experts and whatnot are not just being influenced by Deion. The one argument you can make for them is that they don't really sit in on team interviews and if Sanders bombed out there, they may not have been privvy to that. But by every metric- Sanders was #2 or #3 on rankings and was at worst listed as a late 1st round pick. Nobody would've bet any money on him being there in the 5th. He has a chance to prove people wrong now. It's on him to prove himself.
-
Some did. NFL Draft Buzz (which updates throughout he draft process up to and through the draft had Sanders as the #2 QB yet but did have him dropped to a mid 1st round pick and the gap between him and Jaxson Dart (their 3rd ranked QB) had shrunk considerably.
-
I don't....but I think that was the point that was (poorly) being made.

Well clearly you made up that you are Ron Artest... So there you go -
If that was what was solely being said I'd 100% agree with you. But it was clear what like 2 or 3 posters were getting at here attributing it solely to race.
