https://www.efile.com/tax-history-and-the-tax-code/ "In 1913, the tax code could be printed on a single page, while modern tax codes can take up to 174 pages. However, the modern tax code is much more broad and complex than its 1913 counterpart, featuring categories for employment taxes, financing of election campaigns, coal industry health benefits, and the trust fund code. This incredible growth can be attributed to both expansions and revisions that are made to patch up tax loopholes. Over the past 10 years, it is estimated that the tax code has been amended or revised over 4,000 times." So tell me again how it is written and they don't make adjustments to it. Again- reading a little bit would help you so much.

Holy hell dude- go back and read all the history of tax changes..... Again- read more. Read analysis of how the terminology will be manipulated with this. Read

I talked about the tax code and how it would be worked around and would require them to more clearly define things. I gave examples of what would be better. Again- you don't want to hear any of it.

I'm not "the left" And I equate disinformation as disinformation.....It being uncensored or not has nothing to do with it -
I told you my position....you don't want to hear it.

1.) All three women you mentioned are attractive in one way or another. They are not supermodels by any stretch. 2.) When a dude has money it is considerably easier to draw women to you I'd imagine.

I'll add a RB one Gus Edwards feels like a good dark horse candidate to me. Just using PFF rankings he sits at the #36 running back. He is going to be the starter on a team with a good quarterback and in a Greg Roman offense that he knows and we know Roman loves to run the football. But case in point why I think he is a dark horse. Take a look at these three stat lines from 2023: Player A: 219 carries, 1015 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns, 24 targets, 16 catches, 117 receiving yards- 207.2 fantasy points. Player B: 255 carries, 1035 rushing yards, 8 touchdowns, 38 targets, 29 catches, 170 receiving yards- 195.5 fantasy points Player 198 carries, 810 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns, 13 targets, 12 catches, 180 receiving yards- 187 fantasy points. I'll spoiler tag for anyone who wants to guess along:

DNC and kids Mom gets him killed in GAZA
Sean Mooney replied to RaiderHaters Revenge's topic in The Geek Club
Yeah the Hamas leaders are totally normal. I'm sure they were quite cool with his parents talking everywhere about this stuff but then one saw the DNC and was like "Welp- that seals it." The fact that you are trying to score political internet points on this makes you look like a complete douchenozzle. Also- blaming libs for the kid being executed...very centrist. -

I think the impact is minimal honestly. A considerably large number of people vote based on the letter behind a candidate's name (which I would argue is the absolute wrong way to approach voting). There are some people who might be swayed by a story on CBS Nightly News, or MSNBC, or The Five but I think it is super minimal. As to the arguments about "MSM"- I think that the last number I saw was that 49% of registered voters are Democrats or lean democrat and 48% are Republicans....so it would make sense that the stations trying to appeal to voters would try to appeal to the larger block- even with it being only slightly larger. When you look at AllSides- some of the sources you mentioned (ABC, CBS, NBC) lean left but to varying degrees- ABC the most, CBS the least. You also mention that all those sources are not ruled out by FOX. But FOX News draws in something like 3.45 million viewers a day. MSNBC and CNN together draw in about 2 million. Sinclair broadcasting- which owns a considerably large number of major network affiliates around the country will evne force its local stations to air programs with a conservative slant. Not to mention that we have places like X that are allowing more and more for disinformation to burrow its way into the national conversation and the playing field levels quite a bit more. It isn't just one side that is pushed in a direction by the media. -
I suggest you read some more. Also, don't be so naive about human nature

And people will start changing how things are given. Why are we pretending like people do things on the up and up?
-
Because what will constitute a tip vs a gift? People will get around it by offering more variety of things and calling it tips to get around the tax code. People who are able to do so (lawyers etc) will start to take involuntary income as tips as opposed to payments to create loopholes which will create more of a gap None of the plans outlined account for any of this because they just said something and waited for cheers to roll in. This stuff isn't that hard to figure out. Then easiest thing to do would be to raise the standard deduction. That would actually accomplish something and be more equitable across the board
-
For the people it affects it will make it even more onerous. Why do you have to be a doofus

No they are blue...not red It really looks like people are rioting against her as the pick. -
1.) It offers tax breaks to a small group of people in a low salary bracket but ignores the rest of them. 2.) With the higher standard deduction most of those people already don't pay taxes anyway so it does nothing essentially 3.) It will complicate the tax code Lower the tax rate for lower income brackets or raise the standard deduction. THat would do more to help

San Francisco: People are pooping more than ever on the streets...
Sean Mooney replied to posty's topic in The Geek Club
Hey earlier this year people from San Francisco went to Nevada to poop on a football field in front of 124 million people. -
Not taxing tips is bad policy regardless of who proposes it.

I'm going to guess you don't see the irony in buying all of these things as fact because Trump and his world of people have convinced you they are facts. Everyone is manipulated to some degree. It's simply foolish to pretend like people are not. -

Also, two things of note for me: 1.) The numbers are narrowing on opinion when people are asked who is more equipped to handle the issues of the economy, immigration, and national security. Harris polls far closer to Trump than Biden yet still behind. But a good debate performance could even those numbers out. 2.) Kamala's campaign slogan is "We're Not Going Back" and then you have Trump out there running out the same attack lines of 2016 and 2020. It does make her stuff look more positive. And one thing of note for Trump: The good news for people who view him as their pick- he's run from behind before and won. So it's very doable. -

Sean Mooney replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
RealClear Politics has Harris ahead in Wisconsin, Michigan, and PA (but easily within margin of error) and Trump ahead in Arizona, NC, and Georgia (also all easily within margin of error. They are tied in Nevada. It's almost as if polls are not great indicators of anything right now. Cornell West is straight insane. People that complain about Kamala Harris being a far left nut need look no further than to see where West is and realize- that dude is far left. Jill Stein- what is in this for her anymore at this point? Oliver is just kind of your typical Libertarian candidate. -
He did a thread one time where he somehow started deleting posts in it and would keep reposting it tagging people. It was a massive annoyance

European Influencers Being Used to Try to Swing Election
Sean Mooney posted a topic in The Geek Club
Saw this article today and it's an interesting read. Important to note- Trump's team seemingly has nothing to do with this (I'll highlight that line in the article as well)...but it does speak to the problems and issues that are arising, and will continue to fester, with AI and false information online: The rest of the article can be found here: https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/28/europe/fake-maga-accounts-x-european-influencers-intl-cmd/index.html -
