He shouldn't have negotiated with and trusted the Taliban but he did and everything but the end goal was still the right one. I mean hell- Trump wanted to get everything pulled out in 2 months. They had a January 11th date set and everything. But apparently that quick a turnaround was going to go so much smoother. But the fact is Biden was President when the plan was enacted so it has to be bad and we have to overblow the results to fit some narrative.

Here is some reality- it doesn't matter who would've been President- Bush, Trump, Obama, Biden, LBJ, Kennedy, FDR, Reagan, Bill Pullman- once we pulled out, the terrorists were moving back in. Our military was propping up the Afghan military for far too long investing too much money, man hours, lives, and resources protecting a country that was held together by masking tape and paper clips. Trump was right to set a time line to move out of there and whoever did the final release was going to bear the brunt of the aftermath. It so happened Trump wasn't the guy there to take the abuse.

And in both cases I said it's over the other person won...deal with it. Nice try at whataboutism though.

"Fake News" for him, and many on the right...has become "Things I don't agree with" as opposed to what Smollet did. I don't know if he was or wasn't but he certainly benefited from people being hurt about it.

it is an interesting topic for Crenshaw to speak on considering in some (small) way- his national profile raised quite a bit because of backlash to a dumb and unnecessary joke Pete Davidson made on SNL. That led to Crenshaw appearing on SNL the following week and he even credited it to some degree in his speech. I do think he is right that too many on the left conflate "I don't like what you said," with "I disagree with what you said..." and the hurt feelings and all but he is smart enough to know that Fake News and stuff like that is coming mostly from the right and does the same thing of conflating the two. It doesn't surround personal reaction to what is said but it is equally dishonest in how it is presented. But in aggregate he is a good person for the GOP brand.,
