Trump like any powerful person is not 'good', but what he is trying to accomplish is good. But if Trump can decentralize power and weaken the executive branch, he will have gone a long ways towards restoring a more honest government accountable to the people.

People are inheriently bad, right or left. Our system was better than others because it had transparency and multiple levels of checks and balances. Once we create this all powerful executive branch with hundreds of agencies, a gazillion employees and a Google plex number of laws and regulations to abuse which operates in many cases in complete secrecy with very little checks, it is going to be abused. We must greatly reduce the authority within the executive branch and make them answerable to our elected officials and not be able to hide behind ongoing investigations or by making everything confidential and off limits. I am not sure why this is even debatable, but here in this forum we can see so many are still bootlicking for this corrupt system.

The independant media has more reach and are able to see through which prosecutions are malicious and which prosecutions are justified without the deep state filter trying to protect their own at all costs. It is not just about some disparity in how justice was handed out, it was all complete perversion of the law. Turning memos on a check into some false business records misdemeanor and twisting that into 34 felony counts by falsely claiming those check memos somehow illegally influenced the election or maybe was some kind of tax cheat is illegally targeting individuals by creating a crime which no one has ever been prosecuted for out of thin air. Likewise the obstruction of an official perceeding that most J6ers were prosecuted on was based on whether you entered a building was a completely noval and made up crime. These are not simply a disparity. These are intentionally targeting individuals (most of whom were just ordinary citizen) to shut up their voices. This was an attempt by the federal government to stomp on free speech rights. If there is one thing I am more passionate about than equal treatment, it would be free speech. These J6 prosecutions in my book were the most vile abuse of citizen rights since the Internment of Japanese Americans.

Equal treatment to me is the most important aspect which makes our justice system fair. There was no legal history for the way 99 percent of those prosecuted for the treatment they received. The act of simply entering a public building was criminalized as some heinous crime. Even if it was just a handful that were maliciously prosecuted, it would be disgusting. But from what I have seen it was the vast majority which makes it a complete travesty of justice which must be immidiately rectified. Equal treatment under the law is an American principle, not a liberal or conservative one.

There were 40,000 people there including a handful of psychopaths. If it were me, I would let them all out on principle of equal justice which is the foundation of our justice system. But there were a few psychopaths who instigated violence and had a long history whom I would not cry over if they stayed in prison. They were probably technically entrapped to some extent, but they were the type who look for any excuse to engage in violence and did not need to be incited.

His DOJ handed Hunter the biggest sweetheart immunity deal ever given but it got rejected. Biden's DOJ did not malicious prosecute Hunter, they handled him with kids gloves and tried to get away with a wrist slap and immunity. But Biden's DOJ did maliciously prosecute Trump and the J6ers. Why are you equating gross abuses and over prosecutions which Trump has rightfully pointed out with Biden's endless lies and corruption and abuses of our justice system.

Trump was honest about his plans and was elected to take on the corrupt system. Biden lied about Hunter activities before he was elected and continued to lie about pardons and what Hunter did for the last 4 years. You are right, they are not equal. There are folks that behave badly everyday. A couple of them were really scum. But our system of justice is not to prosecute imprison 1400 people unjustly to punish a few. This was a massive injustice perpetrated for political reasons by a corrupted system. We have punished way too many people far too much for way too long. If we let out a couple of scumbags, so be it. Even the scumbags have been overly sentences and have served more than enough time. It is not like any of these people violently murdered anyone, which would warrent a longer punishment. What happened between BLM and J6 rioters was not an equal application of the law. Our justice system was a complete failure of the principles this country was founded on.
