LOL. Not when I saw them. Tiffany. 1989 ruled. Oh, that's why I saw NKOTB, too. Just because I was 13 and had no idea how to go about accomplishing that, and it did not happen, does not mean I'm FOS.

🇺🇸Father Trump Talk-🚨The Official Thread of MAGA🚨 Quiet, piggy!
Fnord replied to HellToupee's topic in The Geek Club
Remember when you talked out of your ignorant ass on a bunch of issues you don't know shite about? I do, but then that's your entire posting history here. I knew how bad the pandemic was because I work in a hospital, living it every day. If you don't think it was bad, it's because you're- that's right!- IGNORANT. I'm more than happy to educate you, but I suspect you don't want to be. Life is easier when you can just shrug and say "muh libs!" -

U.S. Military and boat strikes thread - Hegseth will not release the full unedited video of second boat strike

Thanks. I'll take your word for it on the armaments our adversaries have sent, that makes sense. No doubt Russia is keen on maintaining the flow of oil from Venezuela. I do not believe that an actual military presence in the Caribbean is on the table for any of these actors, though. If the US has no qualms with blowing up random boats, we sure won't have an issue with taking out cruisers or aircraft. I don't know what any of those nations would gain by getting military assets that close to the US mainland, other than a thorough ass kicking. -

GFY. -
I will likely be sitting at home alone on Thanksgiving watching football and playing video games undisturbed while enjoying some bespoke intoxicants, per my own wishes. Will be GLORIOUS! I will see what I can do to liven this place up. If I remember. Which I probably won't. And if I feel like it. Which I probably won't.

Why would he be? That's definitely more of a MAGA thing. Women being DEI and all.

Is there evidence of Russia establishing a military presence in the Caribbean? -

I've always heard it was fantastic. Should probably check it out. -

If it's not reported in Gateway Pundit, it didn't really happen, amirite? -

Empire building. Using the military might of the US to steal and control natural resources from a sovereign nation an another continent so private US corporate interests can swoop down and cash in. I was told over and over and over that MAGA wants peace. No more wars, no more boots on the ground. The Dems are violent warmongers, Trump was the way to lasting peace. Now the mooks are fully on board invading another country without provocation. Who coulda seen this coming? :sarcasm: -
It's crazy how little I've paid to see most of these shows. The only ones I really forked over cash for were Iron Maiden (twice) and Prince. Prince was playing a residency in Vegas at the time, so I saw him in a club for my wife's 30th bday. Epic and worth every penny. Bush and RHCP I saw at Woodstock 99, kinda by accident. I'd never pay to see either on their own. And yes I saw NKOTB, without shame. First real concert experience, free tix, a day at the state fair without adult supervision, hot chicks everywhere (I was 13, no such thing as jailbait), and Hanging Tough was the #1 song on Billboard when I saw them. Great memories. And no, I didn't buy any merch. I got a "cool" Iron Maiden pendant and a Zippo with AC/DC emblazoned on it at the midway, though.

Kubrik is my favorite director, and I like A Clockwork Orange, but you aren't wrong. I think some of my appreciation comes from watching it as a teenager with my punk-rock loving buddies and feeling like it was verboten. There are a lot of films that were cutting edge or shocking in their day but don't hold up, especially from the 70s. Das Boot is amazing. Good call. You say "old timey" but it's not THAT old (unless you're under 40). I like some more modern movies with an "old" feel; newer noir pictures like LA Confidential or The Lives of Others. Holy hell both of them are 20+ years old and when did I become my godam grandfather? -

Agreed. I had the fortune of seeing it in a film and media class, where the instructor held our hands (figuratively! this is not a pedo batsignal for peefoam or MO) through viewing and pointed out the brilliant technical innovations. Otherwise my appreciation for it wouldn't be anywhere near what it is. -

Yes, but we've already determined that you exhibit incredibly poor taste and decision making and are a lost cause. There may still be hope for @supermike80. -

Citizen Kane is great, though I consider it more an incredible technical achievement than a riveting film (kinda like 2001). Casablanca will blow you away. Top 5 all time for me. The dialog is so good you've already heard practically every line in it already. And Seven Samurai introduces a well worn template but Akira Kurosawa is probably one of the ten greatest filmmakers ever, and he did it first. Rashomon is another great one that's been cribbed a million times in other films. -

Ah. Peefoam is the parasitic virus that we must all tolerate if we wish to continue posting here. Like death, taxes, viruses, and insects, an inconvenient constant. -

Sorry. Shall I put you on ignore and then go to great lengths to prove that you are indeed on my ignore list? -

Philistine. @supermike80 you owe it to yourself to watch Seven Samurai and Casablanca especially. Gone With the Wind and 12 Angry Men are also great. Seems like you don't seek out classic movies, but they're classics for a reason. -
NFL's first transgender cheerleader makes claim about Panthers departure: 'I was cut because I’m trans'
Fnord replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Obviously not, I just remember who I saw doing it, and they are most definitely MAGA. I saw them doing it before Trump was in politics, though. So I won't blame him directly THIS TIME. -

Because I've been unfortunate enough to see it done. By someone that's MAGA, ironically. They thought it was "funny." -

No. They are ruling as to whether the Executive Orders issued are legal. The policy ramifications have nothing to do with the legality of the EO's. If the courts find the orders unlawful, which they nearly always do where Dandy Don is concerned, then the ordered changes cannot be made, because they are NOT LEGAL.
