The New York Times editorial board says Donald Trump is unfit to lead.
Fnord replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Sorry, I'll explain it more succinctly: It doesn't ever matter what Trump does or says, his core support is unwavering. What other politicians do and say matters a great deal to their constituencies, and they are regularly held to account for misdeeds. Why is Trump so bulletproof? Because of his exceptional charm, charisma, and character? -
The New York Times editorial board says Donald Trump is unfit to lead.

Let's do a quick recap. Many lost their minds repeatedly during the Trump years for any number of ridiculous, unethical, illegal, unconstitutional, ignorant, and self serving things that he did. Republicans essentially laughed all of it off. He was impeached twice, Reps did nothing other than shield him. Mueller report recommended charges of obstruction, the AG proactively shut that down while claiming innocence. Multiple indictments follow, and he's found guilty of a felony and civilly liable for defamation and sexual assault. Republicans nominate him for the 3rd consecutive time, confident that he will PARDON HIMSELF for the rest of his alleged crimes. His sycophants put together a plan for his next admin that essentially crowns him king of the US, and what the hell, SCOTUS gets involved by paving the way to making that a reality. Republicans claim these measures as wins. Joe Biden has one miserable debate performance and Democrats are calling for him to step away, despite the difficulties that would create politically and logistically. Trump Derangement Dyndrome is what the GOP is suffering from. The rest of us are just paying attention to reality. -
Liberals have moved on to partisan hack witch hunts on ONLY conservative SC Justices now..

No. I won't claim politics aren't involved obviously, as they assuredly are. But chalking up all of Trump’s legal entanglements to partisan fukkery by Dems is just absurd. That said, I'm not sure where AOC is coming from tying Alito into this. He's a partisan POS, but based on what I've seen, I don't think he's deserving of impeachment. Thomas, though? Fuk that scumbag, he has no business being on SCOTUS for another second. -

Are you forgetting who her opponent is? Look, it's well established that a gigantic amount of Biden's votes were simply "not Trump," including my own. I will not vote for Biden this time; in good conscience I just can't. But I will sure as fock vote for Kamala or any other Dem that can put together a coherent platform against Trump. Millions of Americans feel the same way. We see that Joe isn't up to the job anymore, but we know damn well Trump would be an unmitigated disaster, so we don't exactly need the second coming of JFK. Michael Dukakis or Walter Mondale would stand good chances against the orange one. -
I'm still not sure when we went over the edge as a society and parents began taking their kids' side over the teachers. When I was a kid, the kids were always assumed to be at fault, and the vast majority of the time they are. My kids get the same benefit of the doubt that I did. Zero. Default to taking the teacher's side unless irrefutable evidence points elsewhere.

If Kamala Harris wins in November, what will be the conservative narrative?
Fnord replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Widespread violence. -

So your contention here is that they are asking for an investigation into Thomas for purely political reasons, not because he's accepting enormous unreported gifts from a Republican donor that, oh yeah, also regularly has cases decided by the court? -

It wasn't a security guard. It was a US Marshall. -

Go ahead and find an anti gun quote from me. I dare you. -
Hard for who? Fox, or the poor bastards watching ridiculous propaganda all day and night?

Yup. Outside of her house. After the perp showed his gun to them. FAFO. Just proof that libs can be tough on crime! -
Some of them don't simply because Fox had the audacity to call the election for Biden and then fire Tucker. Fox is now anethema, and the go-to is Newsmax. Let that sink in.

I notice you disappear regularly and then come back with new handles. Why is that Tony/Horse/Rodger/Jose? Are you a weakling? Or just too stupid to remember a password? Such a big POS you keep getting banned from a place where you can essentially say anything? I'm sure your reasons are compelling and totally not your fault. Pray tell!
-
I'm done with you, halfwit. You don't take the time to understand anything, won't admit when you're wrong, and don't know the meaning of introspection or self awareness. People don't want to read our stupid slap fights and since your mental acuity is what it is, I'll just go ahead and put you on ignore with the only other poster here nearly as useless as you, peefoam. That's how fuking ridiculous you are: in a group of 2 with the biggest POS here. Christ, even HT and terroristmx occasionally have something worthwhile to say. Not you, ever. One note, out of tune, perpetually. .

I spent a lot of time with conservative Republicans (family mostly) over the holiday weekend. Having conversations with them was enlightening. When you corner them with logic, the result is nearly always a "whatabout." Also, they mostly don't like Trump, but are convinced Biden is the worst president ever. But the reasons are not specific: immigration this, trannies that, inflation, etc. You'd think there was a 14 year old dude trying to run girls track in every GD school in the country EXCEPT THEIRS. And anyone that would consider living in a city is crazy, theyre all crime-infested hell holes. And they are totally ignorant of what P2025 entails. If you tell them what it's about without mentioning names, they'll say "that don't sound right." But once they know names, they blow it off as Trump being Trump and none of it matters cuz Biden senile.

We'll all be victims you ignorant putz. The question is, how many of you "patriots" will STFU and stand down when your boy steamrolls the constitution because you're too dumb or immature to admit you've been duped for the last decade by a man who's only skill is self promotion. Eh, who am I kidding? I've asked a couple guys around here about their thoughts on imprisoning or executing fellow Americans, and they completely refused to come out against it. People like you want a dictator in charge because you aren't able to comprehend the complexities of government and are totally brainwashed by right wing media. You'll make a perfect brownshirt.

I know you're not MAGA, but you carry their water regularly. Do some reading on it and make your own decisions. These groups are essentially Trump's policy teams. He may not do everything they want him to, but he ain't gonna do anything they DON'T want him to do, either.

That "fringe" think tank identified, vetted, and recommended all of Trump’s SC additions. But I'm sure that nobody really listens to them.

Damn Jerry. Cats dead, wife's out of town. You're the only pvssy left in the house. Sorry, I couldn't help myself, I am a degenerate bastard. Sorry for your loss, putting pets down is uniquely painful. -

You tossed that one slowly right down the pipe. Why would I not take a swing at the easy stand up double? -
LOL. With you, it doesn't matter.

Also, big kudos to @OldMaid for respectfully making very cogent points before ESaC polluted a few pages with his most recent psychotic break. Seriously, were you on heavy drugs over the weekend? We know you have zero self awareness, but holy fock, at least have enough respect to not make the same statement in poor taste a few dozen times consecutively. Find some new material, FFS.

Interesting list, and one easily turned around on you, but I'll save it because there's a bigger point: Why would you want to fire 50k professionals that are non-partisan, hired for their qualifications and well versed in how their jobs work, to replace them with loyal sycophants that don't have experience? Obviously we all have political opinions, but how many of us allow those opinions to influence or dictate how we do our jobs? Few if any is my guess. So why is it suddenly OK to impugn entire groups doing their jobs based on their political affiliation? Like these federal workers for example, or career lawyers in DOJ that have served multiple administrations? Juries sure are getting raked for this recently, and judges too. FBI of course. Military members tend to be more conservative, is anyone claiming they don't do their jobs with Biden in office? This line of reasoning is childish and reductive of the people comprising these institutions. You're cagey about what you do, but do your political leanings make a difference in how you handle yourself professionally?
