They do not get fired or laid off when administrations change. They are the people that make the government go, that know their roles and what they entail. Trump wants to fire these nonpartisan experts in their fields and replace them with individuals that are qualified only in that they are loyal to him. So when he starts pulling illegal shlt, no one is left to tell him no, like they did last time when he suggested stuff like shooting protestors. Tl;dr: Trump wants to fire people that have been hired for their skills, not appointed. Then replace them with appointed loyalists. It is stupid, reckless, authoritarian, and anti-American. I haven't ignored them. I've said all along that if an investigation revealed wrongdoing I'd be on board with impeachment and removal. DOJ told us why they weren't charged. Like it or not, it's a resolution. Much like SCOTUS making POTUS de facto American king, I don't like the decision, but it's done. Time to move on. There's far less evidence of Hunter making kickbacks to Joe than there is of Trump being responsible, at least in part, for J6. Further evidence that what Trump does or doesn't do matters little to those supporting him. Now the whole system is corrupt and guilty verdicts are meaningless. From now on, it will always be like this. Evidence doesn't matter, courts don't matter, laws don't matter. Why was this never an issue until Trump? Were Obama and W charged with war crimes and I missed it? Precious Trump gets rung up and found guilty of a felony, so obviously presidents MUST have immunity. This is profoundly un-American.

This has never been a problem. A prosecutor with an axe to grind has never gone after a sitting or former president, until Trump of course. Why is this suddenly so important?
